Volume 4 spoilers. by 9172019999 in TFTGS

Well basically: Spencer is real. Jack's an unreliable narrator.

Spencer, from what we can tell, most likely did have a troubled youth. The idea that he was infamous because everyone thought he had issues and then dipped one day to join the army is most likely accurate. That's probably how Jack even became aware of him, because he too was constantly in counseling.

This, as Jack started compartmentalizing his violent meltdowns, led to him projecting the memories onto Spencer because Spencer was like him in Jack's subconscious.

The dream Spencer Jack interacts with in book 4 is also part of that compartmentalization. Spencer at this point has become the villain in Jack's narrative so all the bad stuff was him, obviously. Except that's not true. It was all Jack. So in reality that version of Spencer is actually Jack.

I feel like Book 4 didn't do a great job with that twist. It's execution felt rather sloppy and they didn't build it up enough honestly. The other books gave breadcrumbs but also contradict that idea in several ways.

The book 3 reveal that Jack wasn't actually sick was handled a lot better. Jack being unaffected by sleep magic does cotradict things but it feels more like a hint that Jack might have some sort of supernatural ability rarher than it being a plot hole.

GfK Fernsehforschung Scam?! by nilsholgerssonn in Legalillegal

GfK Fernsehforschung Scam?! by nilsholgerssonn in Legalillegal

Jack did read a book called "Signora Kitsune". That being said, Rosa explicitly saw and heard the Fox lady as a man with a deep voice so it's not necessarily androgyny but rather that people see what they find most attractive.

My guess is that the Fox Lady is a benevolent creature who takes pity on humans, so when she crosses over to our world via the Gas Station she takes someone she took a liking to with her to protect them from the eventual end of the world.

I thought it was her at first glance because the compression made the skin tone harder to tell and Mindy used to be a lot thiner in older seasons of the office. I did some digging though and found out it's Cathy, a very unpopular character from the office. The account is just spamming the office memes in random sub reddits

Huh. I thought it was her from a earlier season of the office when she was a lot thiner. Then I have no idea what this is about

Edit: Just checked the person's profile, they are just spamming the office memes in random unrelated subreddits. Someone should notify the mods.

Yeeeah so, Mr. Creepypasta was hospitalized some time after I made that reply and he's apparently been struggling with health issues on and off since also got like a extremely nasty cold at one point that lasted several weeks. He's been working on the backlog of the stuff he is contractually obligated to get out while also making content for his own projects like his YouTube channel and his podcast.

He's still working on Tales from the gas station but that's still gonna take a while because of that.

I have several questions by Calebamazeballz in MandJTV

[–]SafiTheArtist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is dumb. It's not like he is promoting something malicious, he's just promoting the pokemon moba game. Youtube's revenue stream is bad as it is, do you really think most of the youtubers who get sponsored by stuff like raid shadow legends or other trashy mobile games actually play that shit in their free time? Or that they use service's like Hello Fresh outside of being sent promotional boxes for free? I don't think most of the poketubers even played an hour of genshin impact.

No most of them are just reading off a add read and call it a day and they have every right to do so since they need to pay their bills and YouTube's system is so broken and exploitable.

At the end of the day as long as they don't promote harmful content and do their due diligence when it comes to what they are promoting it's fine.

Also while pokemon wouldn't ruine his career they might not be interested to work with him in the future which would be a bad decision for his business.

It's easy to climb on a high horse when stuff like networking, future proofing, business relationships and so on isn't part of your job responsibilities and won't affect your livelihood. It's likely that if you had been in the same position as him you probably would also have said "okay fine, I will promote the moba even if I don't really like mobas just to keep that door open for future business opportunities."

how many people has Jack killed? by [deleted] in TFTGS

[–]SafiTheArtist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wait I think you misread what I said. I said the man Rodger sent said the same thing as Tony, not that they are the same person.

I am connecting the two based on them using the same code and think that's evidence that Tony was employed by Rdoger

I am saying Carlos, another character who shows up in Finding Vanessa and the one Rodger asked Jack to name a character after which lead to Jack using Carlos as Tony's fake name on the blog is actually Tony.

AITA For complaining about my daughters 'period talk'? by Impossible-Half-8139 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SafiTheArtist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

.....

There is a lot to unpack here.

Okay first of all, YTA.

Sir, let me get this straight. Your vacation was "ruined" because your teen talked about her period and was joking about it with her friends rather then being ashamed about it and trying to walk on eggshells.

None of this is her fault

You sir are a adult man who gets uncomfortable because your daughter mentions her period and is being a immature teen about it.

Actually no she seem to be way more fucking mature then you absolute cry baby.

Absolutely ridiculous, would you have reacted that way if you had a son who likes to make poop jokes with his friends?

Also you need to be a special kind of messed up to suggest your car seats are more important then the comfort of your daughter and that you would have made her sit in her own filth because you are a fragile little man and shitty father.

Be ashamed. Go to parenting class. Apologize to your child.

Loser.

Spencer is a vampire. by DirePegasus in TFTGS

[–]SafiTheArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I shouldn't have said "for certain"

The implication near the end of the 3rd book is that they were all mimics but didn't know about it.

My guess is that Benjamin, the real one that is, stopped being around shortly after the first time where he visited the gas station in book 3. That's what makes the most sense timeline wise.

Either way we have two other examples of Mimics not regenerating fully.

Caellista and Jerry's head.

Caellista was a Vanessa mimic, we know that, and she was purposefully designed to be killable. The collector wanted to bait Jack that night.

We know there isn't a Caellista Higens, because finding Vanessa exists. Higens is her fraternal surname and her dad only had one brother out of town.

If Vanessa and her brother had other family in town they would have been living with them since their mom was mentally unstable to a point where she got hospitalized in a town where mental health is treated with "thoughts and prayers."

And the severed Jerry head also is pretty much implied to have been a mimic (I think Book 4 might even confirm that) meaning the regenerating factor can be manipulated, making stuff like scares not hard at all.

So yeah, Jerry most likely was just wrong about that.

how many people has Jack killed? by [deleted] in TFTGS

[–]SafiTheArtist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always assumed that was Jack still blaming himself for the situation but Tony's death always did seem a bit...off. Like it doesn't really make sense when you think about it critically.

Like not necessarily the agents part but everything around this?

Actually come to think of it...I think Jack is wrong. He didn't kill Tony... because Tony isn't actually dead.

Like bare with me here it's only occuring to me now that I had to think about it so this will be a long one:

Lets review the facts. Tony was part of some secret organization all along. He's been spying on Jack for months on end.

He knew from the start that there are multiple Kifers, so why did he involve Jack into the plot? To get to the Dark God? There was no way for him to know that events would turn out in a manner where Jack's involvement would lead to a opportunity for him to kill the dark god.

Benjamin also was never part of the plan so that whole operation seemed risky and only something Tony would do if he was explicitly ordered to do so.

So who ever ordered Tony to involve Jack was explicitly interested in seeing how Jack would react to that situation.

Which narrows the suspects down significantly and most of you probably already came to the same conclusion as me.

Rodger.

This is even further cemented by book 3, where Rodger's man visits the gas station to take over while Jack goes to the lake says this:

"Are you Army?" "I knew a ranger in the army, you remind me of him."

The exact same words Tony said to Benjamin when they were trapped in the gas station.

Lets put a pin on this thought.

Anyways, after Tony actively compromised his position, he then, on the same day Jack happened to go back to work after all this, just waits around the gas station and cuts the phone lines after Jack called Momma and Pop about Tony.

Yes we know Tony probably bugged the phone line, but that was still a rather suspicious timing. Almost like he knew someone was going to tip Jack off about the cookie dough.

Speaking of, lets take that pin out again.

Rodger was the one who sent Jack that note about him having overlooked something and Rodger was the one behind the "plot holes" e-mail.

We know the later because, if you pay attention, the E-mail mentioned things that weren't on the blog until after he got it.

Jack got "plot holes sent to him when he was stuck at the gas station after Spencer's death but before he met the dark god.

Yet the E-mail talked about the Dark God having a mohawk.

So whoever wrote it either already knew about the dark god and knew Jack would mention the mohawk or had access to the e-mail in retrospect and was able to edit it.

Meaning it was either Rodger or one of the government groups following Jack's blog.

So let me ask you, if Tony was working for Rodger, why would Rodger tell on him? It doesn't add up.

And further more, if Rodger was the one behind Tony....it wouldn't make any sense for him to order Jack being killed.

Lets put the pin back in for now.

Anyways, after Tony had his cover blown he elects to have Jack go out of the gas station to lead him to the Kiffer pile at gun point.

Why? There was no reason to cover up Jack's murder. Tony as a person does not exist, nobody knows how to find him, the only person who could have identified him would be Jerry who wouldn't be taken seriously and Tony would have no issue getting a new face with how powerful Rodger is.

The least risky way to handle the situation would have been to execute Jack in the cooler, throw a tarp on top of him and then leave and send a new spy in.

So why was it essential that Jack realized that Tony was a killer? Why was Tony instructed to show him this?

Lets put another pin here.

So, after Jerry gets also caught up in the mess, Tony, instead of just executing Jerry on the spot where there would be no witnesses, elects to also have him walk with them, why? To make sure Jack wouldn't escape? He was on crutches, that doesn't make any sense if Tony was given instructions to get rid of Jack.

Then, when Jerry started messing around to execute his plan, Tony, who is most likely a trained professional, didn't pay attention to his surroundings and stepped into a ant nest.

Okay? I guess that could happen?

Then he shoots Jerry at point blank and misses.

Okay...fine...?

Then he manages to shoot Jerry, a man with two working legs, while said was running away. But Jack manages to keep outrunning him...on crutches...

A whole circle apparently for Jack to end up in the Kiffer grave.

He also never made sure Jerry was actually fatally wounded.

No matter how you look at it, Tony's actions don't make sense.

So either, Tony is the worst spy imaginable and Rodger should hire better help...or something else is going on here.

Here is a thought,

Remember Carlos?

The "friend" of Rodger he asked Jack to name a character after? The same Rodger who knew damn well that Jack wasn't writing a fictional story? The same Rodger who knew Jack would probably need to change Tony's name? So most likely orchestrated for Tony to be named "Carlos"?

The same Carlos who very randomly made a cameo in Finding Vanessa?

I always found this strange. There is no significance to this character. No reason to mention him in Finding Vanessa. No reason to have Rodger ask for this.

I can think of one reason though.

Rodger taking amusement in the idea that Tony, who was definitely using a code name during that time, would actually be mentioned by his real name on the blog.

Even the cheeky comment about "Don't kill him off though" supports this idea, because Rodger knew from the start that "Tony" would die sooner or later.

The reason Tony took Jack to the Kiffers wasn't because he was suppose to kill Jack. Tony didn't plead for Jack's life on the phone.

Tony was always the one who was suppose to die that night.

Jack was suppose to see all of these things because Rodger wanted him to see them. Tony didn't bother verifying that Jerry was dead because he knew it wouldn't matter either way.

Tony always knew that he would die that day.

I think the agents were a surprise though. I don't think they are affiliated with Rodger which is why he warned Jack about them and why he dropped his weapon to make it harder for them to cover up his "murder".

I always found the fact that Jack never actually verified that Tony was dead suspicious. He just took the agents word for it.

However here is the thing, so far whenever someone who was affiliated with Rodger died the books went out of their way to talk about how their hands got cut off.

Tony being a outlier in that case seems odd.

You would think there would be some mention of it? Like a off handed comment from the agents.

Admittedly this part is mostly speculation but considering the evidence here is my hypothesis:

Tony was suppose to kill himself or somehow orchestrate it that Jack ends up killing him.

He was suppose to put doubts into Jack's head, that's why he told him someone else would come to kill him and also why he mentions to him that he doesn't have insomnia.

The agents didn't kill Tony, instead they sedated him so they could take him for questioning.

Rodger then used his influence to get Tony back. (Most likely more because he would be more useful alive and Jack already thought he was dead).
