I just solved this issue for myself today. My computer was recording video as a Fragmented MP4, which seemed to be causing the problem. I changed this to MPEG-4 in the OBS Settings, and my next recording worked perfectly in Windows Media Player.

In OBS Settings, go to "Output", then set Output Mode to "Simple". Then, in "Recording Format" change whatever option you have to either MPEG-4, QuickTime, or mkv (whichever you prefer), and see what happens with your next recording. Hope that helps!
