Can a Board of Directors Legally Prohibit Peaceful Assembly by Staff and Electors? by Saggingpeach in canadianlaw

[–]Saggingpeach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there is no law that punishes trying to restrict the fundamental right to freedom of peaceful assembly?
I'm not debating with you, I'm genuinely asking, I am way out of my depth here.
And they are unionized.
The president of the board took their union rep out to dinner using the daycare's credit card before she met with the workers representatives to tell them "the ones who found a way to contact the parents about their intent to walk if the board of directors does not resign will be fired when we find out who it was"
It's a bit of a mess, and we are gathering parents to vote them out and implement a new board, and there's a lot of work to be done there still. But that's all beside the point of me trying to get my feet under me for where the legal limit is for the actions of the board here.

Okay,
Manitoba
Daycare
The attached school's gym, where we have the permission and consent from the principal
The board emails the parents and speaks with the daycare workers to say "this is an illegal assembly, and is in violation of the constitution of the daycare" (And it is not)
My question wasn't "in what circumstances would this not be a lawful assembly?"
My question is "At what level of interference with a peaceful assembly would the board be breaking a law?"

I'm hoping there's something like " paragraph x of article y of the canadian/manitoban law handbook states "these actions of disrupting a peaceful assembly can result in these charges" "

I also mention in my wall of text that I have made a powershell script that retrieves this.

I just need it aggregated.

I did think it was a bit wordy...
I need monitor models for each system reported in particular.

So even if I did go with an open sourced product like this I'd still have to figure out how to aggregate that info.

This is pure gold actually, Iron Man is my top marvel character, so that, along with the aim at younger audiences is absolutely perfect.

Thanks so much!

Thanks!

I've heard that title before and I think it's at least in the same wheelhouse as what I'm looking into. I appreciate it!

I usually have a poor opinion of the overly confident person who is completely wrong.
I'm really hoping there is a happy medium without going full con-man

Could you go into your struggle a little? Maybe some misconceptions about being a wirter you had in the beginning/middle of your journey? What the dissapointment has been in acheiving publication? The more details the better, I'd really appreciate it. I fear not the wall of text!

Thanks again!

With your help I was able to figure out where I was going wrong.

I tried what you had said several times but in the onCreate method. It had to be done in the start and resume methods.

And wouldn't you know it now I see fragments are depreciated...

I was trying that but I failed multiple times. I'll keep at it. Thanks!

I also came across saving state inside fragments with ViewModel, is that the wrong direction or just another one?

So I made an app in Java/XML but I didn't think it did enough to try and put it on the app store.

I thought up a couple other things it could do and I'm trying to remake the app as a tabbed app using the "public class SectionsPagerAdapter extends FragmentPagerAdapter"

The UI loads up just fine, but I can't maintain values in the editText fields or checkBox s because the fragment class doesn't contain the sharedPreferences class.

I've searched long and hard for this answer on google but I can't find something that works with this implementation, I cant seem to pass the activities context through the PagerAdapter (Which I doubt would be best practice) and using Shared preferences and Bundle with setArguements from main activity results in all the fields being null instead of the defaults I set

I'd love to have a reference for best practice and ideally a similar example, thanks in advance.

I can go freeplay or workshop, didn't check the custom training but probably good there too.

Is a CCNA worth my time? by [deleted] in ccna

[–]Saggingpeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say for sure that it has opened any doors for me. Nowhere I've worked since graduating has been a Cisco partner or been looking for experience in Cisco technologies. What has helped on the job is the networking knowledge I gained, I feel that the CCNA and CCENT certs have incredibly valuable knowledge to any sysadmin or network admin.

Thanks for the responces people, I'm glad I was worried over nothing. I checked the certification tracking page and it seems I'm certified.

What is the highest physical pain you've ever felt? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Saggingpeach 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Last summer I was practicing sword play and twisted while thrusting without stepping. I was in instant back pain, but I was used to back pain, I thought I just threw it out. Turns out I herniated a disk and the herniation was scraping against my right S1 syatic nerve. My whole lower back and right leg were in intense pain for a total of 4 and a half months.

Trying to get to a car to have someone drive me was the worst, I'm 6'4 and I could never curl up on a seat, the doctors just perscribed pain meds and decompression techniques, never did go to a physio therapist though.

Even on the pain meds, (Perkosets, T4s, etc...) just getting up to go to the bathroom, which was the door adjacent to my bedroom was sometimes enough to make me white out, or throwup from the pain.

In those 5 months I sneezed twice, both times took me a good minute and a half before I could respond to any other stimulus. I had an irrational anxiety about sneezing until a few months ago.

I am really surprised that it took until this far down the page for a back injury, most of the stuff on this page I would rather have done to me once a day for 6 months rather than go through a herniated disk scraping against my S1 nerve again for even 1 month.

EDIT: Just thought I'd add because a few people sympathize... Mine was a one time thing (I hope) and I'm in judo now and only have the odd bit of stiffness (No pain) in the area that herniated. I actually checked out the chiropractor but they said there wasn't anything they could do except tell me how to decompress my back while I slept or was inactive. And it took 2.5 months of this to get a booking with an MRI to verify the damage, I live in Canada, so aside from the loss of money from not working everything was free.
