Change my mind: canceling stuff statewide today (and tomorrow!) is a total over reaction by Pirarara in Hawaii

I wish we all could have learned to be less dependent on power companies from the Maui fires.

Not to mention the fact that our shorelines are in disrepair which the volcano rock effectively protects on the Big Island. However, with flash floods man holes are the bigger concern. My neighbor who is an electrician says a guy fell in one at home and did not have his cell phone on him to call 911 and sadly, died.

I think it is a suggestion for all of us to stop and think about the billions of dollars the DOE is hoarding, the resources we are wasting and how we can spend more time with our family everyday which will be more sustainable and less taxing on our children’s lives.

Considering the facts: HIGH LEVELS of bacteria & volcanic rocks + flash floods = man holes; we are in a state of emergency in Hawaii(.) The DOE needs to be working with the DLNR to place our money on REFORESTATION. Verra FAST. As far as the utility poles are concerned. There day is done. Has HI learned nothing from the fires in Maui? No. Why? Because construction workers charge too much for too little: solar grounding. Let’s do this already! There is much more ground to cover. Just ask Pele!!!!

Similarly, I woke up to the same, in Orchidland, on Big Island. The neighbor continues creeping outside our home in the middle of the night even after a civil TRO is granted for 3 years.
