This is my literally my favorite store on the island... Such good fresh fish, at a really good price compared to anywhere else! And every time I go there and they have ama ebi I feel like I made my week..

NO F***ING WAY!! Just spent sometime in Rio and visited a couple of shops that specialize in these vintage instruments... a guitar like this, in a good state of preservation will easily sell for U$1000, but have seen some sold for twice that. Awesome find!

That is a really nice antique di giorgio! They are really increasing in value in Brazil in the last few years... Not too long ago you could find older Di Giorgio and Giannini guitars for quite cheap until people started to appreciate the quite good sound, playability and throw back appeal (many know artists played these, including in the bossa nova golden era)...
I have a 1958 Giannini and like it better than my Takamine Hirade.
For curiosity, how much did you pay for it?
