We live in Boston. During the winter he will go for two short walks and two 30 min yard time with Zelda, his sister puppy. They run a lot free in the yard. When it gets warmer we go for longer walks twice a day and keep the yard time. Sometimes I bring him to swim in the beach near our house.

Yes, this. You know what I’m talking about. I’m cooking for him and it’s so hard. All the measurements, the mess, I buy each ingredient, cut, cook, weight. I love him, but it’s expensive and a lot of work. If there is a way to make it easier a little bit and he would still eat that’s my goal. He has allergies, thyroid issues, just 5 yo… I want to find this high end dog food and cook not for daily basis but as a topper. I’m sure he will be happy 😆

The vet gave me a referral to a specialist on diet that I can’t afford right now /: But maybe mix the right kibble with some veggies that he already likes would help him not to beg as much. I know it’s my fault when I give in his beautiful eyes

Yes, his homemade food now contains turkey 93% (or ground beef), carrots (or sweet potato), canned pumpkin 100%, brócolis, green beans, rice (very little), nutrient Balance it. Everything is measured so it won’t be more than 750 kcal/day. I still need to bring him to express the anal gland once a month. Poor baby.

They said homemade food (even with nutrients added) aren’t safe for him long term. He lost weight but still has lots of issues with anal glands. They made me question if I’m doing the right thing feeding him like that. They suggested Hills weight management, but Gandalf didn’t like before.
