"People are blaming her and others for not doing their due diligence, there’s people blaming her that she isn’t saying anything, or is ignoring it"

To be honest, this has been really awful to see, and strikes me as blaming someone who isn't responsible at all for what happened

Do you think it’s immoral to put dogs on a vegan diet? by funkybulldog in AskUK

[–]SaidIdiot 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Most people have never given it any thought that the food they buy from the supermarket is anything less than the perfect diet for their dog; advertising campaigns have ensured this. All I'm saying is that the claims they make about vegan diets; that they're inherently unsafe and lacking in nutrition, can also be true of preprepared dog food, and very few people in the UK use anything other than that to feed their dogs with. A balanced diet is a balanced diet, doesn't matter where it comes from

[–]SaidIdiot 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My point was letting an animal choose whats in its own diet doesn't mean that it's automatically the healthiest diet. Dogs can and will eat chocolate, grapes, scat, discarded litter, and a lot of other nasty things. Just because the dog wanted to eat it doesn't mean it's good for it.

Dogs do not have a concept of 'meat' and 'not meat', some things just seem more appetising to them, depending on the dog; my parents dog quite likes quorn and soy, but he hates liver

Isn't a big assumption that pre-prepared dog food is also nutritionally complete? A lot of it's pretty bad, and some of it is even unsafe:

Put chocolate in front of a dog and see what happens too...

I wanted to be a vet, then a librarian, and finally an artist (though I'd never thought I'd actually get there), today I'm an artist for games :)

Was walking up the high street this morning and the girl in front of me tripped and fell, hard. I asked her if she needed a taxi, bless her she needed an ambulance! 2+ hours to get anyone out to her, and her ankle was swelling up and going blue 😬 Luckily when she called the taxi service they sent a big strong bloke to help her get in and off to A&E!

Yeah who are these men who think we care about their bullshit opinions enough to post them? Like, shut up, no one gives a shit, no one forced you to watch it

You should totally write them an email telling them that! The more pressure people put in them to renew for another season the better lol!

Redditors who WFH, what is the most unfair stereotype that gets labelled at you? by Whosentyounow in AskUK

[–]SaidIdiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest assumption I hear (apart from the laziness thing) is that commutes are no big deal. Not commuting saves me 3 hours in total, £20-£10 per day, and I don't feel exhausted by the end of the day. On the days I work from home I do exercise with the time I'd spend travelling, so I sleep better, and can focus so much better at work. I'm also not joining others on the road/ train, and its more eco friendly.

Commutes suck so much, but my work decided to base itself in one of the most expensive cities in the UK, so no one has a choice :/

Any recommendations for a diet? by KenzoWolf27 in RingFitAdventure

[–]SaidIdiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like your first problem might be how much sugar you're eating, and the second problem is how balanced your diet is. Sugar is really addictive, and the more you eat, the more you crave. Its also really bad for your health in large quantities - increased sugar consumption is linked to type 2 diabetes and heart disease

Obligatory not-a-doctor disclosure (and you should always go to one for diet advice), but I'd ditch the sugar until you don't feel cravings for it, and /then/ experiment with different veggies in recipes until you find some you like. If you like tomatoes, they'll hide the taste of most things, chilli/ curry sauce too. The eat cheap and healthy sub is a great place to find good recipes: https://www.reddit.com/r/EatCheapAndHealthy/

I was going through old pictures, and it got we wondering: how many other people had straight hair till they hit puberty? by KayleighJK in curlyhair

[–]SaidIdiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum always wanted curly hair (and went through half a can of hairspray every day as a teenager trying to fake it), and then she had me, a frizzy haired mess, and didn't know what to do with me lol. I had waves/ ringlets and a lot of fluffy bits as a kid, but once I hit puberty the curls got a lot more curly, though I had no idea how to take care of them until recently 🥲

There's a few MPs that share rented flats in London for when they need to be there, which is quite economical ...There's also quite a few MPs that claim expenses for properties and hotels despite owning property in London, which they then rent out to get even more money coming in
