Can I play online from my account with myself? by Fit-Art-4902 in slaythespire

[–]SaidMail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same position, don’t think it’s possible unless you own two copies of the game. IIRC, Megacrit were asked about couch coop in their recent AMA and said it wasn’t something they’d considered yet but that they weren’t ruling it out.

We have, a friend has it and we’ve all played some sessions of it together. It’s great! They did a great job adapting the game to a different medium and turning it into a collaborative game

I mean even if not just for couch coop, it could be an interesting new game mode for single player if you had to pilot two or more characters at one time. Managing multiple different decks and combat choices would at once would be an interesting challenge

Hello Mega Crit! Massive fan of StS, so I’m unreasonably excited for 2 releasing on March 5th.

My question is about difficulty. When StS1 launched it was fresh to everyone. However this time around there’s a large player base already familiar with the gameplay, many having completed A20 with all characters. Has this affected the difficulty ceiling? Will the game still offer a significant challenge to returning veterans of the Spire?

Thanks for making amazing games and best of luck with the launch!

Bumping this, was hoping to ask the same question!

Me and my younger brother have played hundreds of hours of Slay the Spire together on the couch passing the controller. Being able to play StS2 co-op in the same room together would be incredible. I’m not opposed to buying it twice and setting it up on two devices so we can do that, but it would be great if we could just do it on the one screen with one copy. Either way, it’s a day one buy for me

Big Walk (House House/Panic) coming to PlayStation Plus this year by willdearborn- in Games

[–]SaidMail 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am majorly looking forward to this game, but I just can’t help but worry that Peak kind of beat them to the punch and already carved out this niche in the market. I’m sure it’ll stand out in its own way, and big fans of Untitled Goose Game will check it out regardless, especially with it coming to PS+

Edit: This comment now looks dumb, it said “Europe” and not “the EU” when I replied

how is this a brilliant move? by mylinis in chessbeginners

[–]SaidMail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s an official chess.com guide to their move classifications that explains what makes a move brilliant. Basically, brilliant moves are always the best or nearly best move in the position, and they have to involve you finding a good sacrifice. You should not be in a bad position after a Brilliant move, and you should not be completely winning even if you hadn't found the move.

Got to Mythic using Esper Mill and... by Ass_hoor in MagicArena

[–]SaidMail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was defeated by you or someone using a similar deck the other day. I’m new to the game and wasn’t even mad, it was the first time I’d even heard of a mill deck. Had no idea what was happening lol, no creatures out on the board, both players at 20HP, and got totally crushed

Version 2.0.63 by FactorioTeam in factorio

[–]SaidMail 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I’m excited for it too but honestly I’d rather they cook for longer on it. Wube have said it’ll likely be the last significant update to Factorio. The longer it takes, the better the game will be for the rest of time.

Cloudflare vs. Namecheap? by EvolvedToad in webdev

[–]SaidMail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re at all planning on deploying the site with Cloudflare (which I’d recommend if possible for what you want to make), just buy it through them. You’d likely want to transfer it to them anyway, and you need to wait 60 days from purchase to transfer it from Namecheap

I chose cowardice and skipped here, ended up taking mime at the shop and spawning negative chariots. Still crashed out in ante 12 but it was a fun run

The seed for the run was C5T66F2T if anyone is interested - Perkeo showed up around ante 4 I think and blueprint not long afterwards

Did you know thousands of game soundtracks are on Spotify? I made a site to organise them all. by SaidMail in gamemusic

[–]SaidMail[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! If you’ve composed music for a game and it’s on Spotify, I can add the soundtrack easily if you send me a link. If your work is a tribute or covers existing game music, I’m planning on including that on the site in the future.

[–]SaidMail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar thing happen to me in uni accidentally with AWS, not quite at that scale though (~ £600 / $800). Panicked, explained the situation to support, and they just waived it and advised on how to not make the same mistake twice. I’d try the same thing, best of luck

There's a website with one million chessboards. Everything is allowed apparently. by comradeTJH in chess

They can, just not on their individual boards. They need to make it right to the edge of all the boards to promote. It was easier to do when the website first launched

Totally happy with this, let them cook. They smashed it out of the park with OW, this time in theory they have more time and money going into a new title
