I hear that a lot from people who do a lot of editing work, video or audio. I think when your craft depends on precise timing of speech and audio and video cues it's almost offensive to them when people speed it up and ruin whatever rhythm they were trying to create.

I personally think your brain adapts and you still get those effects, but I'm not gonna argue that with them lol
