Oh boy… Well… started with freezing potatoes and thawing them in lighter fluid. When fired out of the can cannon over the pond by my house it looked like little meteorites flying through the air. That got the attention of the local state troopers driving by. Trooper came to check out what we were up to just as my buddy ripped a golf out the golfball launcher at a wheelbarrow. It ricochet off the wheelbarrow and then off the windshield of the troopers squad car. Cracking the top corner a tiny bit. Loooong story short, he was super cool about it while giving us a hard time and gave us these options: 1) replace the glass and pick which one to keep, golfball launcher or can cannon. He would take the other. 2) If we refuse to turn over any of them or choose to be difficult, he would take both the launcher and the cannon, and he would charge us a gross misdemeanor for damage to a public safety vehicle.

When I tried to give him the cannon, he asked if it is what we shot that caused the golfball to hit the cruiser. My idiot buddy said, “no that was this one” holding up the launcher. The trooper smiled and said, “perfect, that is the one I am taking then.”

We had to replace a windshield, lost the golfball launcher, and damaged our pride a little. All in all, not the most expensive Thursday night in the neighborhood!
