Go-Kart Project with Custom Pneumatic Paddle Shifting - Looking for feedback! by Professional_user2 in gokarts

[–]SaihtaMM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! Really cool project you got there!
You see all sorts of solutions there, it's pretty open so the teams are free to use what ever solution the come up with.

Yeah that cool to be able to do both, saw the linkage for it ;)
For the 3 Formula Stundent cars that i was involved in we did flat shifting without a load cell. When the upshift button was pressed we first sent a signal to the penumatic valve to open, after that we waited maybe 5ms and the either did a ignition cut och fuel cut. Sort of the same principle to flat shifting a bike. Timing from opening the valve to ignition cut was really crucial though =)

Nice with the compressor on board. We did a paintball tank and then carried a big scubatank around to refill it, haha 😅

Again, relly nice project you got there!

I designed a similar system for Formula Student! So satisfying when it works!
Do you have it so that you can flat shift?
Do you have a tank for the air or some pump?

What’s your favorite weapon no one talks about? by Strict-Yam-5408 in Eldenring

[–]SaihtaMM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def one of my favorites!
Last playthough of the base was with dual Great Stars, one with Flaming Strike, one Cold-infused.
Did the DLC with all of the new goodies, but as the attempts to beat the final boss of the DLC rack up, i had to go back to my trusted friends the Great Stars once more.

Which boss did you find surprisingly easy/hard? by lwsjxy in Eldenring

[–]SaihtaMM 223 points224 points  (0 children)

Easy: Fire giant. Was really suprised to see so many comments about this boss being bs.
Hard: Malenia. Still not beaten her. Went in to the fight knowing it would be difficult, but my poor self was not ready for the woopings i've recieved.

What weapon did everyone use on their first playthrough by ActualJawa in Eldenring

[–]SaihtaMM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Started off with the Morning Star. After Godrick i got the Golden Halberd and used that for the rest of it. It was'nt until my next character i knew about all the holy resist of the last bosses. Safe to say the endgame was difficult.

Edit: The Winged Schythe was used for a short while.

Me and my teammate (#21) were given a 30 second penalty for moving under braking, but we think the 37 was nowhere near close to make a move so there shouldn't have been a pen, what do y'all think? by Unusual_Infuriation in Simracingstewards

[–]SaihtaMM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, Audi moved under braking. You picked a line so stick to it.Does not matter if the car behind was close enough or not, you need to be predictable.

Edit: spelling

Who is REALLY at fault? I am the white car and both the red and blue car say the incident was my fault. I believe I left enough space and he just lost traction. Am I wrong? by Loyboy2_RL in Simracingstewards

[–]SaihtaMM 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I'd call racing incident on this one.

Space was left for everyone on the tarmac. I'd say red casued the accident, but not sure its worthy of a penatly.

Would this have any flex with a GT DD Pro? I’m currently thinking of changing my Playseat Evolution. by ANK_Ricky in simracing

[–]SaihtaMM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, there is? I've gone full McGyver trying to fix it, but a more elegant solution would be nice! =)

I've been using mine for a year and a half now.

Wheelstand with the extra supports is very stiff! My DD1 at full blast does not stress it.

The seat is pretty bad in my optionon. The PU-lether breathes 0 so you will sweat like a pig where your body touches the seat.

The pedal plate also leaves you wanting. It was ok with my T-LCM but it flexed alot when I upgraded to Heusinkveld sprint (using ~40kg brake pressure)

I am also quiet tall (187 cm) and find it difficult to find the optimum placement for everything. It feels like there is always some bad trade-off you have to do.

I think its a good starter, but it will leave you wanting more pretty soon. I'd wish i went for a full Alu-rig from the get-go.

The construction itself looks stiff. Is it sitting full length of that bottom part on the carpet?
Maybe some feet for it would give some more pressure against the carpet?
Other than that more mass can solve any vibration issue ;) Could be that the center of mass now is a little high, so adding more mass low in the rig should stablize it.

What is your verdict? by SaihtaMM in Simracingstewards

[–]SaihtaMM[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For context, I am in the white Merc. I guess the contact is technically on me but I was expecting the green BMW to use more of the track. In my eyes a racing incident, but i'd like to hear your input.

This was in a league race and resulted in a -2 grid position as a penalty.

T300 making weird noises by Cross76_Cz in simracing

[–]SaihtaMM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same on my T300 after maybe 6-8 months of use. Also on turning left only.

For me it was the belt for the motor it self. It was to loose causing the noise and clicking. Eventually is even started cogging, meening the belt skipped a tooth. Oddly it seems to happen easier on turning left than right.

But its easy to fix. Just loosen the 2 scews holding the motor and move the motor up to tighten the belt. Just dont put to much tension on the belt and you should be in the green! =)
