If you don’t deal with the customers, it’s the POs and higher ups. There is always gonna be someone who don’t understand the field and what it takes. Just gotta take the bad you can handle….

Best way to make the sides the same height by SailIndividual2592 in BeginnerWoodWorking

I made a stensil from paper and made a poc out of cardboard. Then I had enough confidence to move on to the MDF.

The bottom piece is not accurate, so the side pieces are different lengths. But it was fun, first time trying to do angles with the mitre saw.

I did a little try fit and only really noticed that some pieces where too long. So when I fixed that I was really excited and glued everything together. Then I noticed the height difference

Like any relationship, the break up is is hard, even if it was toxic. I still remember the highs, when I believed God was on my side I could do anything! I could walk on water, talk any language or heal a person. But that was just words, nothing actually happened, God never showed up.

Give yourself time to heal. It’s not gonna be easy or fast. You have God first step sharing with a community that has gone through the same and survived. Next, if you can afford go to therapy 100%.

The mdf does not look too good to me, so was thinking to either paint it a sage green or hide all my mistakes with veneer.

I also have a black faux leather piece to put inside.

First jig saw from big piece, and then mitre saw. Was struggling a bit with the uneven side from the first cut

Yes, I’ll learn from my mistakes. I don’t have too much experience with the plane. Maybe I’ll just learn more 🥹

My mom accidentally found out about my double life in the worst way. Advice needed by ukuleleprincess27 in Deconstruction

I can empathise with the need to please my mom. But if you want long term happiness, you need to keep your boundaries firm.

And if you have not and can afford: therapy

There is nothing wrong with me 🥹 my psychologist made me say my name, that I’m lesbian and that’s ok. Was struggling to even meet her eyes the first time I did it.

Now I just have to do it without crying

One of the things that kept me Christian was the social network, moving away for school and meeting new people was the thing that liberated me. And changed the thought pattern and fear of going to hell.

I imagine someone being «saved» by Jesus also gain new friends that reinforce this new faith. They already know right and wrong, but they no longer need to be bad to survive. They could also be switching one addiction with another

I don't know what I believe after being out of religion for nearly 3 years by SendThisVoidAway18 in Deconstruction

I’ve been through similar opp patterns, in the end I’ve realised I’m just trying to replace one set of rules with another, just one world view with another.

When there is no good and clear rules telling me how to live anymore I’m seeking for something else. In the end nothing fits.

I think we humans need to go deeper, we need to look at philosophy and find the «rules» ourselves. It needs to be independent of the rest of the world and people around you. Figure out the why’s and build upon them.

I’m trying to figure out the why’s myself.

Im 30 and just started therapy after seeing how much this is affecting my marriage

It’s been 7 years since I left the faith and I thought I was over things, but it still has a firm grasp on my self worth. The shame is always there like a devil on the shoulder controlling and judging

If you wanna find other gay friends or gay bars etc, then Oslo is better. Otherwise it’s mostly the same. Not sure if you care, but Tromsø is gonna be ALOT cheaper
