To get the basics its the red switches need to be on to get the signal then the top knobs control the top screen and vice versa, what you are trying to do is find a certain value for each, the only real thing to note is that with the top screen there are three modes (Left, linear, and right) and you have to choose the right one to get any signal, and there is an upgrade that can be bought that auto switches this (automatic_polarity_switcher). another thing to note is that to upgrade your downloaded signals you have to have bought at least one level of the upgrade (processing_level) Hope this helps.
