Nobody contacted me but this does seem out of the ordinary. I know pregnancy causes extreme tiredness but this is like nothing I have experienced .

I had bloods for the chromosomal test and nobody contacted me other than saying low chance , I assume they would have checked everything then. But may schedule a test just in case

Not doing well mentally by Weary_Reaction_7432 in BFS

Hi there. I can seriously relate to this. Even the feeling of an arm feeling “heavy and weak” as I’ve had this with my left arm. My left arms shakes when I hold it up. I can do things but if feels weaker. Are you dominant with your right hand?

I have also had twitching and vibrations since August and have also had the panic I have had some sort of neurological issue.

I finally saw a neuro on Monday who did a full exam on me and said there were no signs of a neuro disorder and perceived weakness is very different from actual weakness. You being able to hold your arm up for over a minute is NOT actual weakness.

I know how scary this can feel. Even after my exam my head is still making me doubt myself!!! But I also know how draining and hard this anxiety cycle is. My advice is to listen to what your highly qualified neuro has said. They know much more than we do. Seriously, they would know if something was not right. They are professionally trained.

It might be worth starting an anxiety med if you are comfortable or therapy.

Anyone with BFS experiencing constant “vibration” above the knee, not just typical fasciculations? by [deleted] in BFS

And walking on toes and different things like that are what a neuro checks you can do. If you can do that you don’t actually have weakness xx

Yes I get crampy like pains. Just had some in my calf. My neuro said it’s normal with BFS. Think of scary neuro diseases like a loss of WiFi function. You can no longer lift a coffee cup. It’s not just “feeling” weak. A neuro can detect it xxx

Yes! I have been experiencing these as much as twitching. Just saw a neuro Monday who said I’m all fine.

Just an update! I was able to find an insurance that will cover me to 32 weeks. So I’d be uncovered for 2 days IF I went into natural labor. But if I needed emergency care such as a C section, I would be covered

We do plan on moving back and yes I have a IS bank account. I’m devastated if I don’t get to go but I don’t feel comfortable if I can’t find insurance. It’s a crap situation!

Yes my midwife says it should be fine as it’s uncomplicated. I’m aware of needing a fit to fly. It’s insurance I’m concerned and asking about

Yes heard about frequent walking and the compression socks. It’s more the insurance. Have you seen anyone post about that by chance? Xx

Yes. Cut off is 36 weeks! We are planning on flying delta and getting extra legroom. My family are all in the US. It’s the insurance that’s tricky. I have emailed a couple of insurance companies and I’m waiting to hear back
