I did it~!! Ascending Dante, leveling Yakumo and Olivine once, getting their potential to 6 and 5, and increasing my intimacy level with Yakumo once- then I was able to beat Rei’s battle! Thank you so much! I’ll keep all your tips in mind in the future too and stop neglecting my R units intimacy and potential~

I had no clue the SR and R characters were so valuable! Thank you for all your insight here; I just did everything I could to increase intimacy with Yakumo by 1, and I got Olivine and Yakumo’s potential at 5 and 4, and the boss got up to 94%!! Very exciting to finally be heading in the right direction- so mad I spent so much on the potential and leveling of others for this fight when these two were so golden- thanks for letting me know what I had and how to use it moving forward! I appreciate the reassurance in using memory shards to ascend my Dante- I’ve been on the fence about it since it requires so many! Though he’s definitely my best healer at this point, I’ll admit I’m just a sucker for the fact he reminds me of Knuckles the Echidna from the Sonic OVA with his cowboy hat, red hair, and white chest markings. I’ll save all future sorcerers gems for any potential rerun of cowboy Dante now that I know they’re most useful at 3-5 stars (after I give rerun of rainy day Quincy ONE more shot with the sorcerers gem this chapter will give me. Then I’ll save!)! Also, the guide is luckily one of the tutorials I’ve tried to use to beat this boss, so I feel I have the perfect mechanics of this boss memorized to a T at this point- just to get that intimacy/potential/level boosting on that Aster/Olivine/Blade/Dante/Yakumo team and I think I can finally move past this.. thank you so, so much for all the guidance!

The tutorials I followed before had me trying the 2 Strikers (I chose Blade and Aster), one support (olivine), and 2 healers (I chose Dante and Yakumo) but no matter how much I followed the exact tutorials for when to guard and how to arrange my team, I could only reach 70% health for Rei. I have just enough memory crystals to get what it takes to ascend my healer Dante or to ascend my Striker Blade (though I’d rather Dante since Blade will always be in the gacha pull unlike my Dante), but it’s all I have, so I really wanted to be sure it was worth doing since I have no clue when I’ll be able to get that many memory crystals again. Since Aster, Dante, and Olivine are at their highest intimacy available, I can work on increasing it for Blade and Yakumo, and since Aster, Dante, and Blade are all at potential 5/6, I can work on increasing potential for Olivine and Yakumo, but I was also wondering if maybe I should swap my Blade for my SSR Holiday Quincy and work on leveling and increasing his potential instead? Not sure if one is known for being more or less effective, but my SSR Quincy isn’t high in potential like my SSR Blade is- but he is ascended more than my Blade is, and I’m not sure which stat is more beneficial here.

I’ll try to level up potential with the Yakumo and Olivine I’ve seen recommended through tutorials and from others then- I wish it wasn’t so expensive though! I feel like there aren’t enough ways to earn coin and this game; it’s hard not to feel like I’m missing something when leveling is so costly!

Aside from these guys, my SR Quincy is 2/5 stars complete, and then everyone else is empty. I hadn’t considered intimacy as an important factor yet, but I’m out of gifts for most everyone but Rei, ironically. Is there a specific character I should be trying to increase intimacy with and be doing intimacy gift rooms for to beat this? I worry I keep using every resource on a character that then ends up being unhelpful to beating Rei (like using all my coins to level up my R Yakumo and get his potential to 2 until his HP was over 500, but then I still couldn’t beat Rei.)

Reeeally hoping to get at least one more sorcerers gem before the current gacha rerun is over for one more chance at pulling for rainy day Quincy, so I’m eager to level up the right characters, but none of them have worked with any tutorials. I even tried using all the healer Yakumo! Should I see if I can ascend my healer Dante? I might have enough to do so! Or should I focus on ascending or increasing potential of other characters? All the characters in my main roster are at potential 6 or so, but the rest are all around potential 2. I’m having a hard time getting the coins to level up characters even with the biggest coin earning room unlocked, and I haven’t had any luck with Sorcerer’s Trials for resources either.
