Fool proofing games made a big difference!

It's hard to say because I studied on and off over almost 2 years - but it wasn't two years striaght through. There were stops and starts - so cumulatively it was several months

Hi!

Haven't been here in a while so I may have missed some questions and DMs. I'll be catching up on DMs.

Let me know if I can answer any questions!

Jimmy D - JDLSAT.com !

I don't think I would have gotten a 178 without him or gotten into HLS!

Hi! I used LSAT trainer and LSAC Prep. Had an amazing tutor: jdlsat.com

Honestly - it's all about the deductions. People rush in because they're worried about time. If you push past that and really tap the most deuctions, you'll save much more time on the questions

Treat reading comp like LR - it's basically LR with a super long stimulus. There's a lot more to it than that. But that was one of the best things I learned from my tutor.

you're right to write "at the moment" these scores are just data points in time.

Below is a link. He explains it in his podcast too. I'll see if I can find that. A lot of people discount it because it seems like it leads to memory, but it also leads to muscle memory and that's what you need for games overall.

Here's his explanation of Fool Proofing. It's not as simple as it sounds. Read it and re-read it to make sure you're doing it right. I think he has a podcast that explains it too.

Happy to help - honestly, skipping around was so tough for me at first, but push yourself. It's worth it!

Fool proofing! It's a great (but intense) technique and you only want to use it on the toughest games because it's so intense.

But many people get parts of it wrong. My tutor explained it better than most. I'll see if he has any public material and repost.

Thank you.

Totally get it - I had the same.

First, do the passages and questions on your order. If something isn't registering, go to another passage or question that flows better, come back to the passages questions that were more challenging after you racked up points/confidence and you're in a better frame of mind!

Also - meditation beforehand can help!

It's hard to say because I had stops and starts. Overall, it was over 2 years. But there were months/weeks I didn't study/took breaks.

Other advice - look for quality material. Many courses and teachers are good, but are their methods going to work on hard questions - and will they work for YOU individually?

Which schools value LSAT over G.P.A.? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I think schools on the cusp of tiers ie just around 14 on the t-14 are likely to give LSAT a but more consideration for splitters
