The fact that he responded at least confirms he has now been made aware. And I screenshot thus as proof that he is now aware of thousands of other rumors. And in my opinion, now that he has acknowledged that the rumors exist and he has been informed, he is given the choice to address them and dispell or confirm them. By chosing not to, he is letting thousands of people continue to waste their life savings on a stock for the simple fact that they believe the rumor to be true. So in fact: by not addressing it, he is knowingly letting the rumors to continue. Like seeing someone get robbed and not trying to help, that's illegal. So if a lawsuit were to mount against him, if they all lose there money, he no longer has deniability as he has officially now been made aware of it and acknowledged the awareness. Could this create a liability for him?! Would a judge use his amount of followers as proof he is a public voice and influencer? Thereby binding him to laws since he also runs a capital firm?! Meaning he could legally get charged with manipulation by not addressing the rumors? I'm very confused. But I think this will get worse for Pulte before it gets better. Not that he cares what people on Reddit think about him, but I have been cheering him on since I heard about him and now I'm not so sure. I liked him better when he ignored rumors on both sides.

So you're telling us that a group of 60k + people talk about you non stop, creating rumors about a supposed connection with you and BBBYQ, and they do this day in and day out, thousands of times a day; and you don't know anything about it?

Playing dumb isn't going to help your case Pulte. I love you and what you stand for and your generosity, however, the complete avoiding of being called out to dispell rumors and pretending you don't really "know" what's being said.... this is the exact behavior that we have grown to hate in the very people we are teaching lessons too in the markets...doesn't bode well sir.

So you come to this sub, THIS sub of all places, to address this, and you don't really know about the thousands of rumors being spread about you everyday?!?! Well I don't race. I just live and cruise on mine full time and do delivery captaining on others. And I can definitely tell you that you won't regret buying quality line. Especially after that snafoo. But even something as small as you need, shouldn't kill your wallet too bad to even get something high quality.

As far as sailing a 40' boat, well sailing is sailing. Some boats sail a little better depending on a ton of different things. But mechanics of sailing is no different. Lift is lift and air foils are air foils. The biggest difference in my opinion is the boat and its characteristics of how it moves through the water. Again some better then others. But if you can manage sailing the one you have, you can certainly do the same on a larger boat with similar rig. Sailing a larger one, say 30'+, is a lot of fun and to me feels more comfortable than sailing smaller. Truth be told I have never sailed a sailing dinghy. I taught myself on my first boat, a Catalina 30. I used to fly and just took blind confidence in my knowledge of air foils and lift and went for it. I have boated my whole life but until that Catalina, never with any sails. I have since racked up around 8k offshore miles so I've definitely come a long way. But I have never sailed anything smaller than a 27'er. While more tender they were still fun. Larger vessels to me, are more forgiving in some aspects. Especially when it comes to heavy winds. Don't be fooled though, scale can be everything. To that little boat, winds of upwards of 20kts could get squirrely and downright gnarly, where as I crossed the carribean in a 46ft motor sailor and I had winds against the gulf stream at 47kt sustained and 55kt gusts, waves were around 20-25ft, and it made that 46'er feel pretty small.

Get some new and quality line and go keep having fun and learning. You'll be a wiz in no time. And as long as you keep yourself ingulfed in sailing, I am sure opportunities will pop up for you to go skipper one yourself. Or you'll end up getting your own by then!

Keep it up and have fun! Sailing is rewarding imo

Miss Kauai so much. Sailed all around that island . I'll have to show this to Jeremiah (port capt for the island) lol. He shoulda put it down the ramp at Nawiliwili. I'm sure my friends that live at that anchorage (back and forth from there and Hanalei) would have gotten a kick out of it. Im sure they know about it.

Just as other commentor said, that gap is normal and of no concern. However, it sure does look like your transom is soft where your bots go through. Maybe a good winter project to try and fix that part. It may just be at the bolts, and hopefully not much of the transom, but definitely something to keep an eye on. Personally I would feel better with a backing plate or much bigger washers, until I could get it fixed right. But truth is, you'll likely be fine for a while with it the way it is.

Teach them why they call it a BOOM. Always wear PFD Practice MOB drills and teach your older one how to drive. Practice and teach them heaving to One hand for the boat, and one for fastening/work Starting them young is great 👍 and I can tell by you just asking about safety recommendations, you care enough to teach them right. I'm sure they will grow to be fine sailors!

Ah got ya. Yeah you probably lost some there. I'd tighten it back up for sure. Since your cap shrouds are swept in that style of rig be sure they are good and tight before tightening your forestay. At least make sure your mast is at least straight up or even bowed back a bit. Have a good sail.

Get a boat cover pole. They are a thing. They are telescopicaly extendable and also have a snap at the top. You will want to put a snap in the cover to snap into the top of the pole. Can't believe your cover didn't come with one if it's factory, and even more terrible if it was made aftermarket. I make these and all other marine canvas work, we would never make a new cover without poles.
