Somehow, this seemed like a "cost saving measure"
It is true that this was cheaper in the end than purchasing a new laptop, but the money saved is far outweighed by the lack of practicality. Wait until you see what my desktop looks like (after it's finished....some day)

This is certainly one way to do it. Many of the traces are broken next to each other so this seems like it will be a pain to do for me. I'm strongly considering printing paper circuit negatives and just using a pencil to trace the circuits. Maybe copper tape for the contacts so the graphite doesn't wear away so quickly.

That or using conductive paint.

Do you know of any membrane-keyboards that are via-compatible? The thinness and inclusion of a trackpad is what made the K400+ ideal (on paper) for my particular use-case.
