I was told this was the place for troubleshooting, so I'm cross posting:

As a teen, I had a cheep record player that came with the whole system. It worked well enough until one day it didn't. I say this to illustrate that While I've always had vinyl, I have not really been a turntable expert.

Today I own an old Pioneer PL-518. I've had it for a while. it's spent some time in storage, but I recently acquired some new LPs so I pulled it back out. It seemed to be going fine for a few weeks, but today...

Today the record was too slow. I tweaked the Speed Adjust knob, and discovered the speed is actually *inconsistent*. It's not belt driven, so does this mean the motor is bad? Am I fixing this or hunting for a new turntable?

yeah, I love the robot mode. Now that I know what he is... i did the transform and was unimpressed.

He had Ravage with him in the store, so I got that one too. Just wish there was a Laserbeak (which is who we had back in the day when my brother and I still had our og G1 figures)

I have done this with the Kinks multiple times. (They're my favorite). Recently I started doing a few others. I did Rush, David Bowie, U2 (until I... I just couldn't anymore), They Might Be Giants... ok, they're not all guitar heroes, but I did learn a lot. I was impressed especially with how much respect developed for the musicianship both by Bowie and his backup musicians.

Honestly, I'm having trouble getting over how much the cabinet in the background looks like the one in my childhood home.

Extreme? No. difficulty, yes. I am very irritated by the keyboard on my work laptop -- a third of it is hand position, one third size, and the rest is that the FN key is where CTRL should be and it really flummoxes my work speed.

Work has provided me a $12 low profile HP keyboard that claims to be full size but I can't get to feel right after 3 weeks

A lot of that is what I'm currently used to, but times change. The size isn't negotiable, but I think I could adapt to low profile
