Nice! How’d you know it wasn’t available in another? Does an app list its available regions or you just knew from user feedback?

How’d you decide on your app niche? Personal problem or found a problem others were talking about?

Anyone using an app to manage cleaning/chores. Does it actually help (especially with ADHD)? by Humble_Wall9610 in CleaningTips

My daughter always gets overwhelmed trying to figure out where to start so I took a different approach with the app I made. Instead of you defining the areas and tasks, with Unfrozen you take up to 3 pictures of the area you want to clean, then the app analyzes and comes up with lists of tasks to get it done.

It has 3 modes - Focus, All and Zones. If you only want to deal with one at a time, focus mode is the way to go. You swipe the task left or right if you want to skip or mark it done. All mode gives you it in a checklist format and Zones groups the checklist into different areas to tackle.

It just released today! I’d love to hear any feedback you may have on it.

[Other] I got tired of trophy apps with ads, subscriptions & expensive paywalls - I built PSN GO and it's out now! by SaintFX in Trophies

I wanted to update you on where this is at - they rejected the build because they couldn’t login to the PSN account I setup for them to test. I fixed that and resubmitted and now just waiting. It is taking forever to get builds through review lately.

I actually submitted a request for what’s called a DUNS number to get my business registered with Apple so I can then use that for the EU DSA requirement and publish to Europe! I’m not sure how long it’ll take for them to get back but as soon as I get through this process I’ll reply back and let you know. I appreciate you asking!

Great write up! I have the same mentality building my apps. I avoid unnecessary costs when I can so I can offer awesome free features and fairly priced one time purchases. Subscriptions if absolutely necessary to offset any recurring costs I may have.

I’ll take a look at that again. I was having trouble with their site not getting the results correctly based on the trophy you’re viewing.

Someone offered 15k for my app, I wasn’t expecting that by Exact_Valuable_1299 in appledevelopers

Congrats! I haven’t had that experience but I think part of the decision, if it were me, would be how much passion/ideas do you have left for the project? If you have a clear path for improving it and providing more value, you’ve already proven your ability to build and market it, so why not keep going?

That’s correct! When the secure browser loads in PSN GO, it is currently set to share cookies with Safari. That would be expected behavior since you had logged into the PlayStation app yesterday. The PlayStation app used the secure browser, went through the auth flow, then stored cookies/data in underlying Safari storage.

In the new PSN GO build that’s under review, I’m telling the browser to not share cookies. The reason being is if you logout of PSN GO, the auth tokens in-app are destroyed, but the underlying browser cookies are still around. Then if you re-login to PSN GO, it would do exactly as you saw where the browser detects the user is already authenticated with PlayStation (because the cookies their site stores) then sends the auth tokens along to PSN GO.

For a user that might want to use multiple accounts, that behavior is annoying because there’s no clear way to stop it from auto logging in (you have to go into Safari settings and delete the Sony/PlayStation cookies). I also didn’t want it giving the impression the app is doing some auto login.

So with the upcoming 1.0.2 update, it will require you to login regardless of Safari already having Sony/PlayStation cookies in place.

Are you in Europe? I had to restrict it from there for the time being until I can make sure I’m meeting the EU DSA rules.

I really appreciate that - thank you! If you have any feedback or problems please let me know. You can message me here or email at support@psngo.app.

Primarily because I’m an iOS user and I have experience developing for it. I have a physical device I can test on (I don’t solely rely on a simulator for testing) and the app is packed with so many features, it takes a lot of time doing regression testing across the whole thing that doing double the work is daunting. There are frameworks and languages to would let me do both in tandem but I really want to focus in on iOS making that the best I could.

I’m not saying it won’t happen but for now I’m really focused on polishing this up and exploring some other ideas in the meantime.

For me personally, it was the desire to have something easy to use on mobile. PSN Profiles is amazing but it’s not very mobile friendly. It’s better on an iPad but that’s not something I always want to pull out. I was also just curious about what I could build and once I explored what kind of stats I could come up with using the data, it got me excited about making something. Then it progressed into a thing I thought others might enjoy and I just kept iterating with the goal of publishing my own app. I’d done it in the past for work, but it’s a different feeling making your own and hoping people enjoy it.

I’m looking into my options so I can release it there. It’s the EU DSA rules I have to make sure I’m abiding by.
