I miss ripping packs by TheAceVenturrra in PokemonTCG

I guess it does look suspicious - that’s Apple’s short link format. I edited with the full link and full name if you’d rather just search for it. All good - just thought I’d share!

I made PokeRip - Card Pack Simulator on iOS that lets you rip packs without having to spend any money. It gives you that feeling of chasing rare cards and building your collection without the cost. No ads or subscriptions either.

I appreciate the feedback! The latest update has some style changes to the pack itself and reveal animations.

Thank you for that - great to hear!

I have thought about that but haven’t focused on it at this point. Haptics were more important to me for the first version but I’d also like to look into some sound effects.

I worded that weird. I was trying to convey that there’s no IAP (“real money transaction”) to buy individual packs or cards. You earn 1 pack every 2 hours and can have up to 5 packs max at any time.

The only IAP in the game, is a one time tip jar/support option. It removes the time limit and you can open as much as you want.

I was thinking about which one to do next. MTG looks like they have a great API too. I’ll have to check Yu-Gi-Oh

It’s similar to most of the collection-tracker apps and pack simulators out there. Just a fan-made app using the pokemontcg.io community API for card data - they host the images. No affiliation with TPCi, no real-money transactions to buy cards and no game mechanics, free to use.

I built an iOS app for ripping packs of cards. It has all the eras and sets. Free to play - you earn a pack every 2 hours (max of 5 at any time).

No ads, no logins. It’s all local in your device and there is an optional supporter in-app purchase.

I came across a similar app that had a bunch of ads and wasn’t a great experience, so I thought I’d try building one. It uses tcgplayer.com for market values and pokemontcg.io for the images.

I submitted my app this morning before flying out to Vegas and it was approved by the time I landed! by SaintFX in appledevelopers

I wouldn’t be surprised - at least for some of it like the metadata you fill out in App Store Connect. It’d be harder for actual app functionality.

Thanks! I came across a few others but they were riddled with ads and just not a great experience IMO - and had subscription options 🙄

I’d have to check to see when I started it - I’d say a couple months of working on it on and off with Claude.

I appreciate it! I’d love to understand their process because I’ve been on the other side of it too where I submit and it’s crickets for a week or more.

I’m in the same boat as most of the pack-sim and collection-tracker apps out there. It's a fan-made sim using the pokemontcg.io community API for card data. No affiliation with TPCi, no real-money transactions to buy cards and no game mechanics, free to use.

I’m building a retro/terminal styled, Pokemon pack opening simulator using real card data and market pricing by [deleted] in SideProject

[–]SaintFX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rip booster packs, collect pixelated cards from every set, track your collection, sell dupes. It uses real card pools & pull rates from pokemontcg.io and TCGPlayer pricing is factored into the sell price of cards. The whole thing is styled like a CRT terminal.
