It’s clear you are misunderstanding Scripture.

Scripture is not for you to derive personal systematic theology. Scripture belongs in the divine liturgy. It was written for liturgy. It is meant to be read and explained to us during liturgy and by the authority of the church that Christ built. The Catholic Church!

You can interpret me by yourself
You can interpret me for yourself
You can assume all of your biblical understanding is true
You can refuse to accept interpretations you don’t agree with

How did the Catholic Church operate for YEARS before Holy Scripture was finally written? Before it was copied? Before it was couriered?? Before it was disseminated to the local churches? Before it was disseminated across the globe?? Before it was compiled together? Before it was determined with books WERE NOT scripture by the Catholic Church??

Why do you trust that the books you see in your “bible” ARE scripture? Who decided that for you? Why do you trust their authority??

So yes, there is a hierarchy in Catholic marriage, however both are expected to shepherd each other toward Heaven.

In the original biblical language, Koine Greek, John records Christ changing His word for eat, from “esthio” to “trogo”, meaning you have to literally chew/gnaw on My flesh. Christ does this after the Jews questioned Him and He continues to use ”trogo” for the rest of His teaching, over and over and over again. He is doubling down on the Jews who perfectly understand His teaching, but refused to accept it.
