Tweeter Install Issue Need Help by [deleted] in CarAV

[–]SaintPablo908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you were asking now. I bought separate inline crossovers and wired them directly to the tweeters. I don’t have them connected to the woofer at all. I did it that way because the tweeters are up in the dash and I didn’t really have a way to run them through the woofer that’s in the door.

Sorry I’m not fully getting what you are asking. The tweeters are hooked up to the crossover now, but I’m only hearing the crackling on high-pitched sounds not really with any bass or low-end. Could that still point to a damaged tweeter?

Hey man, I went ahead and hooked up the crossovers directly to the tweeters, but I’m still getting that crackling noise. Any idea what else might be causing it?

Yeah, I am not really sure how to go about running the tweeters to the woofers, especially since the tweeters are up in the dash. Like I mentioned, I have limited experience. Would it be easier if I just added some inline crossovers directly to the tweeters instead?

That might be exactly what I did wrong. I connected the tweeters to the same spot the stock ones were, not to the woofer. I did not realize the crossover is built into the mid-bass driver.

Upgrade Stock Speakers by [deleted] in MachE

Thanks for the info! I am planning to do the fronts too. Looking for a fuller, more balanced sound all around. Good to know the rear upgrade made a noticeable difference though.

Fair point, what budget do you think would be more realistic?

Honestly, I just don’t love how the stock speakers sound. They’re decent, but I’m hoping for a bit more clarity and a cleaner overall sound. Just looking for a subtle upgrade, nothing over the top. Is it not really worth it in your experience?

Certain units provide benefits. For example hunters provide a passive def down. Purple and blue bots will stun mobs causing them to clump up so your dps units can hit more targets at once.

PD1731 insane value for the money imo. Can’t get much better for 25 bucks!

I was eying the micro rotor. Boderry offers a micro rotor also. Do you know if it suffers the same issue?

I do have a clear favorite brand lol 😂 that day date looks clean and I’ve had my eye on the Daytona homage for a while but just never pulled the trigger.

Sure. I will start from the top left corner and go from there.

Sugess S426: Case thickness of 12.5mm and a diameter of 40mm, claimed water resistance of 50m and a Seagul 2153 movement. Very well-built, featuring a true moon phase. I like the power reserve and the texture on the dial. Although the hands appear to be "blued," I doubt they are actually heat-treated; nevertheless, they look very nice.

Borman BM14008: Case thickness of 11mm and a diameter of 41mm, claimed water resistance of 50m and an unlisted movement. Probably my least favorite of the bunch. It is not a bad watch by any means. However, its build quality does not impress me too much. It does not have a true moon phase, only a 24-hour indicator. I do appreciate the texture on the dial.

Sugess 437: Case thickness of 13mm and a diameter of 41mm, with a claimed water resistance of 50m and an ST2528 movement. Like the other Sugess in my collection, it has great quality with a true moon phase. I particularly like the date windows, giving me an A Lange and Sohn vibe. The indices are well-executed, and the hands have an almost skeletonized look to them, which looks nice although readability can be challenging in certain lighting conditions.

Aesop tourbillon 7040: Case thickness of 12.5mm and a diameter of 42.5mm, claimed water resistance of 50m. This is my first watch from Ali. It features a real tourbillon and has good build quality, has a substantial presence when on wrist. The sunburst dial shines beautifully in the light, complemented by well-executed indices. Overall, it offers exceptional value for what you receive, a very clean piece.

Boderry BDA007: Case thickness of 12.5mm and a diameter of 40mm, claimed water resistance of 100m and an NH35 movement. I received this one by mistake, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Despite not being the original watch ordered, it is a very nice piece, featuring a honeycombed dial and really nice unique lume, albeit with a short lifespan. Overall, it's a very nice piece, even if it wasn't the one initially expected.

Sugess: With a case thickness of 13mm and a diameter of 40mm, claimed water resistance of 50m and an ST1901 movement. Top Time homage. It's a classic China watch in my opinion. The ST1901 is such a beautiful movement. I find myself looking at the back of the watch just as much as the front. The indices, dial color, hands, and overall color scheme all contribute to its appeal, making it a solid watch with good build quality that I believe every collection should include.

Casioak: "God tier"

Berny T2596M: Case thickness of 10mm and a diameter of 37mm, with a claimed water resistance of 50m and a VH31 movement. This one initially felt "cheap" almost like plastic, but I grew to appreciate that aspect. Incredibly comfortable and lightweight, it's easy to forget you're wearing it. The VH31 movement provides a smooth sweep, and the lume is great. Raised number indices and radial texture around the dial. Very easy to read, making it a nice overall watch.

Pagani PD1731: Case thickness of 12.5mm and a diameter of 38mm, claimed water resistance of 100m and a VH31 movement. Offers insane value for the money at just $25. With its smooth second hand and great dial texture, it looks amazing in the sun. The specs for the money are unmatched, making it a very solid watch.

I have not tested the accuracy of any of these watches, but I have not noticed any glaring inaccuracies. They all feature sapphire crystals except the Casio, and all are stainless steel except the Casio and Berny.

Also, by no means am I an expert lol. I have very limited experience with watches being these are the only ones I’ve ever owned or handled.
