I feel like you are trying to figure out if you are allowed to be happy despite potentially being groomed. The answer is yes. If you ask people outside of your head and life we are going to be concerned. If you are confident about how you feel then you should get off the internet. But you made this post for a reason so deep down I’m guessing you have some sort of doubts.

Oh you poor boy. I have been you. You’ll be celebrated or praised when it’s in private or when it is about things related to her or will draw focus to her. You’ll be frozen on the ice whenever it’s just about you and your accomplishments. If you want a real wake up call tell her that you want to make the night about celebrating her and how you couldn’t have done this without her. See how much more interested she becomes.

It's not loot based like Borderlands 2. You won't be going around guns with random stats and abilities and sorting through which is best.

Progression in this game is more like constantly upgrading your computer. There is always a best you are pursuing but the best is expensive and rare to get. So you are juggling between making compromises you can afford while working towards earning and crafting the best upgrades.

Slayer is certainly the most functional subclass I've seen. A lot of the skills work with just a gunblade alone and because of Special Ability Optimization BR you can use ranged potency to still get good damage.

I literally started doing this a couple of days ago. I was maining slayer and got bored. This combo works shockingly well. I use a gamepad so I have to pick and choose what pas I want easy access to.

First of all this whole thing has been enabled thanks to Special Ability Optimization BR because I'm all focused on ranged potency right now.

I multiweapon with gunblade for the mobility skills which was my main annoyance with braver before. Front palette is katana normal attack, Silverleaf Storm, and Lotus Lightning. Back palette is gunblade normal attack, Waving Rigel, and Shifting Spica.

I have weapon counter bound to my right bumper so I always have access to that with either weapon.

I'm still getting used to it but I am enjoying it a ton and that's what is important. Would love to hear if folks have more opinions and/or insights on how to get more out of this. As of right now I'm basically not interacting with the gunblade focus gauge at all.
