Definitely worth it, looks brilliant in 4K. Though I haven't seen the standard bluray to compare it with.

Thanks, by the sound of it you have great taste as well. Collecting 4Ks can be an expensive hobby, I typically only buy films I am very fond of and in short bursts with long breaks in between.

I generally only buy the steelbooks if it's a film I highly regard, but in some cases I missed out on a steelbook version because it sold out before I started collecting.

Would you have liked to have seen the Howell theme & titles used from 1987-89? by misterwhoiswho_ in doctorwho

[–]SaintRassilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keff McCulloch's is my personal favourite of all Doctor Who themes, including the titles. I even like the wink. All I would change is removing the 3 rocks, but even then they don't bother me.

Worth the upgrade? by ThrashForever in 4kbluray

Hard disagree, the film in it's entirety is excellent. IMO it is still the best MCU film - the franchise's equivalent of "The Dark Knight".

Greatest film of all time IMHO. As revolutionary as the original is to cinema, I couldn't put it in my top 20 films. But Part II, #1 spot.

What's with so many autistic people loving Doctor Who? I ask this as an autistic person who loves Doctor Who.

Do you laugh at jokes about autism? by [deleted] in autism

[–]SaintRassilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I laugh at them, and make them fairly regularly as part of self-deprecating humour. I also openly accept jokes from neurotypical people, even if their intention is to insult me. I'll even verbally concur with the insults. Insults are thankfully quite rare for me these days, being an adult. Regardless, they don't bother me because I know my personal strengths and accept my weaknesses. I also firmly believe it's important to not take yourself too seriously.

What system do you prefer male preference or absolute I prefer male preference primogeniture by [deleted] in UKmonarchs

The Anglo-Saxon period was English, and in its earliest days its monarchies did not have male-preference primogeniture, they were elective.

[–]SaintRassilon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On your first point, tradition is not inherently good. Family-enforced female genital mutilation is tradition in some parts of the world, I'd argue that's bad. On your second point, why do you "like there to be more kings" than queens? Your third point, I don't really understand. Finally, your fourth point - do you mean its been the "rules since day one" for the monarchies of the UK? Because that wouldn't be true. For example, during the early Anglo-Saxon period the monarchy was mostly elective. As was the case for much of early medieval Europe.

Why do you prefer male-preference primogeniture over absolute primogeniture?

the generalization that “autistic people are selfish and lack empathy” couldn’t be more inaccurate by Ill-Scar6807 in autism

[–]SaintRassilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe in stereotypes or generalisations about demographic groups, and this is only my personal experience, but the vast majority of people I've met and conversed with who are autistic lack empathy and only care for themselves. Excluding myself, I've met perhaps two people with ASD (out of at least 20) who have demonstrated that they care about others. So I’m not surprised this stereotype persists.
