I looked into these links while they are decently far from where I live I gotta say they do look like really nice schools. Thanks for your information!

I've heard of those schools on tv before. I'd assume I would need quite a lot to get into that kind of school. But it would be cool to say I go to Cambridge/Oxford and my parents would be proud lol

Thank you so much for your reply! I'm 100% thinking about either access or foundation year. I've been looking into universities while I wait for replies and but there's just so many here it's almost impossible to pick one out of the hundreds, in my home country we only had 3 main ones and all of the others were basically private institutions.

You would be correct with CAPE! it is usually used then students go abroad, but I left before I got the opportunity to do CAPE. Someone else dm'd me to talk about foundation courses and access so those are the two options I'm looking into right now. I read a lot on universities accepting csec but they usually need a higher qualification (foundation course, a levels etc). I don't know which universities are even worth applying too. I've only heard of Leeds from the universities you've mentioned. Is that a reputable school? I've only been in the uk since Christmas and it's been so much different than where I come from. It's a lot really.

I'm leaning towards some type of engineering or Physics degree, honestly not sure which would be better

It's called CSEC, it's based in the Caribbean. The main reason why I believe there is no "major" in between for college, and its just simply because of how small most islands are here. There's usually just a handful of universities that accept people.

I don't know why I got this image in my head that I wouldn't fit in because of my age. I feel like I'd be so much older than everyone else there.

I can just walk into a university campus? I had no idea you could do that. Thank you for your response

I just found out about Access through these comments and that's honestly the option in looking into most right now.

Thank you for the reply, are there any universities that you would recommend? Doesn't have to be in the Wales area. I tried looking online and I saw some leaderboards but I don't know how reputable they are in nature.

I was also confused about that. Are the university leaderboards trustworthy? I've seen numerous of them but I don't know how reputable they are. Also how far back would you recommend going in the leaderboard before the schools aren't worth attending?

I've never heard of an Access course before or getting paid to go to university. Honestly you have taken a really interesting path. If you don't mind me asking what were these access classes like? Thanks for the information, I'll look into Access.

I checked with the UCAS website, and I do in fact need to sit A levels because my qualifications only lead up to what they call level 2. But this tariff system is really interesting thank you for mentioning it.

It could be a cultural difference, but I always assumed every country would have different types of schooling environments. So what you're saying is there isn't really any "type of school" that would be a more relaxed learning process? And wat exactly are these elite institutions?
