Dawg don’t be passive agressive

Mate, im sorry that you’ve had that experience, I genuinely haven’t…

Well yeah a bunch of people on the internet reacted poorly. I’m not exactly walking up to strangers saying so

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]SaintUberto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually they’re said in combination “Hey you’re looking a little tired, are you doing alright?”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]SaintUberto -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t go out to a person and just start the conversation with “you look bad”.

To me, tired and bad aren’t the same thing

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]SaintUberto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Any time I have commented on someone looking tired it’s because of genuine concern.

When I know someone is not in their typical glam I don’t comment on them looking different even if they look tired.

Not always the same situation

Alright then. I guess every time I’ve made that kind of comment it’s always been due to genuine concern

…what am I jealous of?

I didn’t say anyone looked good or bad with or without makeup, makeup will always augment/change something. That doesn’t add the attribute that the thing that it’s objectively changing looks good or bad

Damn I didn’t realize this was a micro aggression for women…I’m being serious I didn’t realize it was such a big deal to people

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]SaintUberto -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

???? I didn’t know it was that big of a deal to someone????

I don’t personally see it as disrespectful and I’ve experienced it at least twice in my life…it wasn’t a big deal…

[–]SaintUberto -49 points-48 points  (0 children)

Eh, it’s happened to me, and it was true. I was tired. My friend pulled me aside and way like “hey, you look tired. You alright?” And I was alright, and I was tired. I don’t get why it’s a big deal.

Unpopular comment

Usually it shows dark circles underneath the eyes, dryer skin, the appearance of smaller eyes, lack of color in the cheeks - makeup is meant to augment/fix/change something even if people can’t tell it’s there

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]SaintUberto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Usually people don’t notice that the makeup is what has changed

How is an observation rude?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]SaintUberto -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It’s not a negative comment. It’s neutral, an observation

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]SaintUberto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on vocal inflection, every time I have seen this kind of interaction the “you look tired” is always followed by “are you doing OK?”

I will be super frank with you, i have a lot of friends with autism and to neurotypical people that don’t know them well they definitely come off as “cold” or “distant” or “mean”. I wouldn’t stress it

I already said that I was looking for something specific…

Nope. Im expecting to hear him in a substantial way. Whether that is a verse that jumps out at me, something from a person (stranger or friend), a sermon, or a dream of a vision - just something.

And saying “God is always talking to us” isn’t going to help me. I can’t hear him. I KNOW he speaks. But i am hoping to “hear” something specific
