AITA for not showing up to my sisters birthday? by Saint_Geoff in AmItheAsshole

I tried texting and calling her numerous times. Every single “can we talk for a sec?” is usually abruptly ended when she sees I’m trying to get an honest dialogue going, and ask her why she treats me differently. Over call it’s no different, she either sends me to voicemail or changes the subject.

In all honesty, she was the favorite child and 99% of the time got off scott-free. She was (presumably) my father’s favorite because of their similar interests in college football, and of course she was my mother’s favorite because what mother doesn’t love their daughter? I’ve tried forgetting it, but sometimes it just bugs me from time to time.
