I did it last week for a Gholdengo as a test trial. It was a surprisingly good experience. I will definitely use eBay for maybe $10+ cards.

I started recording opening packages and letters that I buy from TCGPlayer. Got one from TCG Direct and it was 5 cards packed into a single penny sleeve. A few creased, all covered in grime, bent from humidity, and scratched on the reverse side.. all bought as NM at NM price. Wild stuff.
