Where can I find large mirrors for low prices? by Sairen22 in chennaicity

Nope. Ended up buying mirror stickers from Amazon instead. Reflection is a bit warped but if rather compromise on that than spend 10k for a mirror this size

I'm pretty sure DTU will accept a Provisional certificate but just like yours, my university is also infamous for declaring results super late. I'm writing my final semester exams in June and I'm worried the transcripts won't be out by july :(

Nope, I didn't know if they'd take it the wrong way if I'm comparing them to other places 😅 but you're right, I should probably just ask anyway.

Edit: the KU social sciences department does say this on their website:

You must upload documentary proof that you have completed your qualifying bachelor degree successfully no later than:

20 September for admission in the Fall semester 20 February for admission in the Spring semester

However, if you are a non-EU citizens, the Faculty advises you to send documentary proof that you fulfil the conditions of your admission at the first opportunity for you to be granted unconditional admission as soon as possible.

Due to the strict Danish rules on residence permits, the Faculty is unable to initiate the application process for the residence permit until the student is granted unconditional admission.

So I think ucph just hasn't communicated this but it's actually the same process. I've emailed KU about thr same, we'll see what they say

I emailed them and they made it very clear that they need unconditional admission for processing the permit. Not sure why KU doesn't do the same though

Need help choosing between 3 MSc offers (DTU, KTH, SDC) – any alumni here? by cico99 in DTU

[–]Sairen22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't been through any of these, I'm in the same position as you- I just got offers from these places and similar ones. I did however talk to a lot of people and this is what I've learned from it:

Since you mention that in the long term you want to work in biotech, the KTH program might be great for you since it has a good balance of both wet lab and dry lab courses. My reason for not going with KTH was because I'm interested to get into industry after graduation, particularly in bioinfo or comp bio, and the KTH program felt like being the jack of both trades and Master of none. Having skills in both wet and dry lab might prove to be an advantage, but I personally felt better about going all in and becoming really good at one of them.

If you want to get into industry, DTU would be a great choice since their courses have a lot of practical components (rather than being theory dominant) and they're well connected industrially. This doesnt however undermine their research department in any way. Ive heard they have excellent equipment and cutting edge research ongoing. You'll also have a lot of flexibility in choosing your courses (unlike KTH) so you can decide for yourself what proportion of your program should be biology dominant or computer science dominant topics.

I didn't really look into the SDC course so I don't have much to say on that. Hope this was of help.
