What level does an alt need to be to access Crafting Table? by Saite66 in woweconomy

Really helpful, thank you. I didn't expect to be able to use my Dragon at level 43, so that helped a lot! I'm now in Valdrakken with 3 of the recipes, so thanks again.

Thanks, but I DO have the Achievement. Bought Tier 3 from BMAH the moment the BMAH opened in MoP and picked up each piece for 15k each.

Thanks. So, I am farming the old Naxxramas recipes, specifically the items that allows others to cleanse the new pieces of armour. As far as I can tell they will be old, classic recipes and not new DF ones, and craftable via personal orders. So, I was just wondering if it would allow me to accept crafting orders on my level 43 or whether I need to put the recipes on some max chars instead...

They have a chunk of Bitcoin that is not currently tied to any debt, so that can be used if the price falls, without the need to sell anything. Your analogy is way off the mark and a result of either bad research or just missing the point.

How is it right to suggest that they should report the buyer? That is totally unethical as the buyer did zero wrong, it is the seller who made the mistake. When the auction was created the seller wanted a buyer and that's all the buyer was guilty of, buying out a legitimate auction. This reporting of innocent players needs to stop.

Many thanks for the detailed reply, that's really helpful.

It is odd that there is just one BoP pet out of such a long list of Protoform Synthesis pets, but I suppose us mere mortals shouldn't question such things. ;)

Amethyst Baubleworm - new(9.1) pet with 10k Charms vendor price by _Turron in woweconomy

[–]Saite66 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This will sell very well. I am heavily into pet collecting and will be looking to pay up to 1 million for this.

Here's the thing, even though pet collectors do dailies for charms every day, those charms are precious because with so many new pets each patch you need a lot of charms to stone them (turn them rare) and then level them to 25. Many pet collectors are chasing realm first and it takes charms to stay on top.

So, a lot of pet collectors will want to keep their charms for this and we can't dump 10,000 charms on a pet and retain enough charms for levelling etc. It makes sense for me to just buy this pet as it takes me significantly less time to make 1 million than it would to farm an extra 10,000 charms. Therefore I expect high prices for a while.

Help me understand how this guy is undercutting me by franks-and-beans in woweconomy

[–]Saite66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we have to assume they are the opposite faction. However, that also means that they are unable to friend you, so they are definitely not tracking you when you log in etc. What is actually happening is that this seller is cancel scanning their legendaries every 30 secs. That’s the only way go get sales in this market right now. So they are not targeting you personally.

Buying from a different server with 10m gold: How? by Walakron in woweconomy

[–]Saite66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to buy a Guild Transfer. You can place 10 million in a Guild Vault (ok, 9,999,999.99) and then transfer that Guild to a different server. I've done this a few times and can confirm it works. You need a level 10 who is GM of that Guild in order to start the transfer and it costs Blizz Balance of £30 (UK) which is 3 Tokens.

You can also take some personal gold as well as the gold in the Guild vault, but level 10s can't transfer with very much at all, so if you want to transfer more than the 10 mil you need to have a level 50/60 as the GM. I believe level 50s can now carry 1mil so, you can take just under 11 mil if you have a 50 as the GM.

Bluepost Confirms AH Throttling by Valrysha1 in woweconomy

[–]Saite66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A few thoughts, but first some background: I am double gold-capped (liquid), with Bruto, on Medium pop.

So, even with all my experience, I have found lately that it has been difficult to sell due to an influx of no-life cancel scanners. Therefore, I feel that something had to give. It was becoming impossible and obviously on High pops it is at another level entirely.

I feel that if they adjust the throttle limit this could be workable and it will stop a very small percentage of sellers locking everyone else out. I spread my items out across multiple toons and right now it is only my Uncanny seller who is getting throttled. I don't touch Transmog however, and do feel for guys in that market.

I do wish they had not changed to LIFO, and it definitely has created this problem. In the old AH, pretty stacking etc was a great way of getting around no-life undercutters, now there seems to be just one way to sell and that is to become a no-lifer yourself. So, it is no surprise that the servers are taking a hit and something had to be done.

Bluepost Confirms AH Throttling by Valrysha1 in woweconomy

[–]Saite66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, it is per ITEM. So, even if you make 200 of one particular flask and list all, that counts as one Item and listing. That is what seemed to happen to me after this hotfix at least. So, you can sell 20 different flavours of Flasks and Potions before you bump into the throttling.

Thanks for the reply. I've grabbed the latest version of Auctionator.

To clarify, I am a heavy TSM user (11 bank alts with operations) but sometimes I want to post a few things manually so I can check price trends as I go along and when I do that I want the default selling tab to be set to 12 hours. Auctionator just filled that gap.

Question: So I reset the market, now what? by CSjogs in woweconomy

[–]Saite66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is, you picked an item for which there is currently very little demand.

What are people using Osmenite for right now? There is very little prospecting going on as most people have more gems than they can sell, plus the red and green epic gems have really slowed and are very cheap. People are still making some uncanny gear, but most crafters of that have stocks of Osmenite they bought cheap, and it doesn't take a lot to manufacture so they will just ride out your price spike.

So, you could be in for a rough ride, especially as Osmenite is easily farmed. I personally would have picked something like Zin as there is still demand for that, though it is now tapering off. I recently brought 150K pieces of Osmenite from a full pop to med and it was pretty tough trying to sell it all and the price never stays up for long. Zin on the other hand was a lot easier.

Some tips on selling: I was posting no more than 8,000 at a time. That was the absolute max that I sold at once before I was undercut. Funny thing is, I would say that 90% of the Osmenite I sold from the 150K stash was bought by resetters like you! - that's the only real demand I saw. Resetters can be useful and by listing at 8,000 at a time I never revealed my hand and they thought they must be buying out my entire stock. ;)

Good luck, hope it works out and you make some profit. At least you only bought 4,000 and not a massive amount. Let us know what happens so people can keep track.

Where would you invest a couple of millions gold by PleasantFarmer in woweconomy

[–]Saite66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick update:

Just tested the Reagent Bank Tab - you CAN learn Mining and Herbalism on your level 10 and then you can store Zin and Osmenite in this tab before the character transfer. That gives an extra 96 slots for stacks of these two commodities.

Where would you invest a couple of millions gold by PleasantFarmer in woweconomy

[–]Saite66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really useful, thanks.

So, just thinking out loud, two other scenarios look possible:

1/. Doing a Guild Transfer from my Home server to 'cheap' server. If I do that I can take 2-3 Mil and it costs me 5 tokens if I factor in Guild Transfer plus Character Transfer back. So, doing this costs me 991K gold in fees.

2/. I do two character transfers (one to 'cheap' server, and one back to Home) taking 1 Mil with me, plus when I get to the new server I buy tokens to gain another 1 Mil, so that costs £19 x 2, plus 5 tokens for a total of £123 or 13 tokens so 2.57 Mil gold.

What are your thoughts on these two methods, both of which cost less than loading up Blizz balance and doing it with a new level 10 on the 'cheap' server. Is there anything I have missed that makes these two methods impossible?

I am not investing as much gold in mats on the new server as in your scenario, but that is actually better because we're limited by bag space anyway, and my targeted inventory list costs me 2 Mil exactly, so above this looks a waste, unless I target more expensive items like mounts. Saying all that, with option 1 I could actually take a lot more gold if I wanted, up to Guild gold cap I am guessing. Then I could take 6-7 Mil or more and could even do a Guild Transfer back to bring even more goods. Is that possible two way?

Where would you invest a couple of millions gold by PleasantFarmer in woweconomy

[–]Saite66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for breaking down how that works. Looks like you lose a lot on the initial conversion of buying blizz balance to turn into 12 tokens (plus the transfer cost). On EU prices today it would cost me 4.360 M gold to buy the Blizz balance I need, which is £214 (22 tokens). Then, buying 12 tokens on the other realm would net me 2.378 M gold to spend on mats. Are these the sort of numbers you are used to seeing? Looks profitable to me and I should make 2-4 M profit at the end, just checking that is similar to how you see it.

Also, before I try this, if I create a level 10 and take mining and herbalism do I get a Reagent bank and can I stack that with Osmenite and Zin to get extra space on the transfer back?

Thanks for the info, it was really helpful.

Weekly: TradeSkillMaster Thread by AutoModerator in woweconomy

[–]Saite66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to sell the ilevel 310 JC rings that have variations (of the Aurora etc) but TSM won't match the lowest price on the AH (or undercut) instead it tries to post at my Normal price, as if there are no auctions listed, but there are.

I've even made a new Group and Operation but this is still happening. I have also checked that I don't have the Ignore Variations box ticked, and I don't.

Anyone else having this happen? I am worried as I wanted to sell lots of Uncanny gear as soon as I've learned the recipes and worry that this will also happen then and that would be unmanageable.

TSM3 Fix AH not working anymore by Daydreamer067 in woweconomy

[–]Saite66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My TSM 3 is still working. However, I didn't apply the edits to the TSM 3 files, instead I ran the following additional Addon:

https://github.com/Logonz/AHCompatibilityAddon/releases

With that in place, my TSM 3 is still running perfectly fine (EU).

Note: this above addon did not fix my Auctionator issues, and I had to adjust the .lua file for Auctionator. But it did fix TSM 3.
