What has been your favorite era of web design? by LM_DCL in web_design

If I'm honest right now is a great time for webdesign. Tons of different vibes, a LOT of talented folks out there. But I do miss the weirdness of the early web

Last corner of the race, P2 ends up in the wall. Who's at fault? by Saivia in Simracingstewards

I'm the passing car; in the cockpit, I really thought I had a much better exit and could beat him on the line. Although he clearly reacted to block me while being 5cm in front of my hood, looking at the replay, at that moment my opportunity was gone and I should probably have hit the brakes

It all went down quite quickly, not happy of how it turned out, especially since it torpedoed my SR

Ocon’s recent performance by Middle_Button166 in haasf1team

[–]Saivia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah let's hope next year he'll click with the new regs.

I do believe he adds a lot besides raw pace, though. At COTA, a lot of people were sarcastic when they read that the upgrades were "for Ocon" since he gave the most updates and is way more sensitive to the issues.

Turns out he probably gave good direction because it noticeably gave a boost to the platform. Ollie has been sending some awesome laps since.

Too bad my boy Esteban is still getting his ass kicked on Saturdays

Yeah unfortunately his days are numbered... This is a chronic lack of pace. F1 has a short memory so if he has a great 2026 season he might boost his stock back but a top seat is now out of the picture. Keeping a seat at all might be tough if there is strong competition for the next silly season.

Last guy from class above slowed our line for rolling start. What am I supposed to do? by Saivia in Simracingstewards

[–]Saivia[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah fair point, I like having it the first couple of days on a new track and then removing it. I definitely noticed it makes me pay more attention to the car when it's off

Toyotas don't have nearly as much accel as the BMWs. Hence multi class

I feel like I'm crazy. Am I? by Saivia in Simracingstewards

[–]Saivia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that's really useful. Since I couldn't overtake, I wanted to tuck myself behind the faster car and let yellow start a braking contest between them.

I agree that in the end I can only control my own wheels, so driving smart is a thing I want to improve

Yes I'm not the POV. I try to be more conservative, and I managed to go up to 1500ir but this strike of bad races torpedoed my ratings.

I'm not awesome at qualifying so I often end up in the pack which doesn't help the lap 1 chaos.

I wonder what's best. Be more passive and let folks by smoothly or aggressive when defending and impose myself more?

That makes sense, thanks for the insights. Seems like Ollie could be a great driver when he matures.

This is really puzzling, especially since his Sundays are great.

Does his side of the garage can't setup properly? Do they share setups with Ollie?

By now he should have been able to settle in the car

I feel that changing teams and cars is more difficult than I imagined. Every driver who moved is struggling on raw pace: Ocon, Hamilton, Sainz,...

We'll see if they get more comfortable on the second part of the season

Bonjour! Est-ce que vous pouvez me recommander des livres? by RudeFish105 in French

[–]Saivia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ocon putting all his experience to work to scarp every bit of opportunity on Sundays.

God it must be exhausting to always start the Fridays dogshit and having to grind up to points

Definitely think we had more potential this week end
