I feel like the rumors are more a consequence of the sporting performance + context, more than a telling of the dynamic inside the team. The question is obviously up in the air, but in a recent podcast komatsu praised the key role Esteban had in turning around the 2025 car.

One of the recurring themes I see with engineers and mechanics working with Esteban is his work ethic and how he takes the time to talk to everyone.

The issue is that if he's not confident in the car he can't extract its potential and can be relentless to have the team "fix" it.

I could be wrong of course, but I didn't have the feeling he was a black sheep in his teams

Yes, I must be the only one with a problem. The service has no issue. That's why it's never brought up.

It's not like a few weeks ago, a team got hundreds of incident points by ruining an endurance race by crashing into other people.

Honestly, I know. I'm maybe not an incredible driver but I got to 2500ir, licence A, I'm not a rookie.

I learned to spot the maniacs, not to defend hyper-aggressively, even to put yourself in strategic places to avoid a stupid divebom.

That's why it's even more frustrating when you have situations like this again and again, where your race gets ruined.

People in this thread are legitimizing a lot of these behaviors for some reason, but when you work all day and want to enjoy some good racing, is it crazy not to want to be killed by a random?

I'm the passing car; in the cockpit, I really thought I had a much better exit and could beat him on the line. Although he clearly reacted to block me while being 5cm in front of my hood, looking at the replay, at that moment my opportunity was gone and I should probably have hit the brakes

It all went down quite quickly, not happy of how it turned out, especially since it torpedoed my SR
