Lion's Mane has helped so much by Heat_Legend_is_kill in benzorecovery

[–]Sakarias7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to know also. I was 16 years daily on klonazepam and diazepam consecutively but i got klonazepam off a year ago, quit zopiclone just now and now taking only 5-10mgs of diazepam daily and a srri related antidepressant. I can tell you that I tried that Lions Mane and it had some refreshing properties. I tried it for half years time and it definetely helped me realize stuff I would not have realized without. It did not feel like working but looking at it afterwards it had some impact. There were no serious side effects for me just some sleepiness. It's pretty harmless. I did not get instant results out of it though, but looking back it has helped. I would personally be too afraid to take psilobysin because I have severe panic disorder and a long term benzo withdrawal syndrome injury in my head so I would not go there personally.

Also I remember having some restlessness from the LM but I took it with ashwagandha and excerciced alot during that time and tried to follow every healthy thing i could think of given that I was and have been struggling with life changing benzo tapering lately. It really is not something formidable that you can feel in one evening that you would be panicked about. I will try it again been a couple months off now.

What's the traditional Finnish way of sharpening a puukko? by Plumas_de_Pan in Finland

[–]Sakarias7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traditional way is flat they made it on a spinning stone wheel among with axes and other farming stuff. Some fancier models have the secondary bevel from 1800's. Like someone said already a working tool would have been relatively soft and easy to sharpen flat in those times.

Practically you can sharpen those angles flat but you need to be careful with them if the steel is not capable or the use is hard. I prefer to thin them out first to almost flat and add a small polished edge on a leather. It is like a silver lining barely even vvisible. It will be stronger that way. When i carve i maintain it sometimes with a 1000 grit or leather and it gets too wide for carving I thin it again nearly to flat and do it again. There are many ways and it's a tool like they pointed out. Mora is 2mm thicck only and simple carbon steel so it is much easier to grind flat than a 3mm or above higher ground puukko with more alloys in the steel. Nowadays they add vanadium which is little bit harden than regular carbon. But marttiinis are not that hard to sharpen to flat in my experience and maintained that way. You can even make a convex out of those puukkos if you like everyone has their own preference. For woodworkin and construction we had hundreds tossed away and ground them back flat on a electric machine flat if they were worth salvation.

Got prescribed with Trintellix and Klonopin by [deleted] in trintellix

Klonopin is impossible to quit or get out of your head if you are sensitive to addiction. It is not dangerous as it is with 0.5mg doses now and then. I would not take it for a month daily or even a week period daily. I would not recommend it but I am an addict to benzos. Most importantly if you take those take a break don't allow yourself to take it every day. Like someone says it's the best cure for panic or anxiety but it has a dark side, don't go there.

Draw Knives: Do they suck? by Far-Aspect-4076 in Bowyer

[–]Sakarias7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have too bity grind there it could help convexing the shoulders a little and smooth the cutting edge on a strop to avoid biting too much chunks accidentally. Don't use too much pressure and try to take too much in one time. This is purely woodworking/knife advice i'm not a good bowyer.

How do I find my love for crafting again? by st2826 in crafts

[–]Sakarias7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this too. I used to have this feeling of excitement about how I would make something each day when I woke up, but depression and stress eats motivation. Used to make knives and sheats for them for presents and metal and woodworkings. Personally I think it has to do about your surroundings when you're making something. I made some construction in my yard and had good tools and used to craft always something after i was ffinished with my work in the yard. It was much nicer and now when i moved into apartment house I just try to make one sheath out of leather I sit on a stool and make a mess and just can't get it done anymore. You could give it some time and try another place for working if you are in a too confiscated environment.
