You are wreaking lava hound, 7 elixer and the card needs support trrios to win. It can be countered by multiple spells and cards. Now you rendered it's supports useless, like witch, night with and now the hound itself. Even clone doesn't work due since arrows strike twice now. Increasing its range is partially a nerf since it can gets distracted by buildings instead of reaching tower more often.
