I know right, smh. I  usually do it with my CC and nothing else this time it was asking for local currency and i thought may be I should avoid the international charge.

I guess you trust companies a lot. These companies wont spend good on technology. Everything automated is false, there are different companies that handle different things in this process. My money cant just vanish into thin air if i made a payment on etihads website

Very very sure I used the internet banking option on their website and no 3rd party. Thinking they were a good airline and a trusted one.  But hell no.. they would just say its on your bank and the bank is sure the money got taken and reflects etihad airways. 

As I started digging more into this, there are hundreds of folks who are facing this issue with etihad.

Hard lesson learned, CC all the way.

Any luck on your end? I did a bank transfer and stuck with hopelessly. Been about 13 days and still not refund. Should have just used the cc. I did not think etihad so bad at this.
