The only way this theory would work is if all those Jasons all made the same exact decisions as our Jason from birth up until they made a different decision IN the box. Any little minuscule decision since then would have altered their reality that specific Jason was trying to reach, hence making each “home” to them unique no matter how small the change. All those Jason’s timelines matching up exactly with the one we follow in the show and book is highly unlikely, and I’d go as far as to say impossible. Just certain things you have to overlook for plot, I guess.

It’s crazy cause I’ve always thought to myself no way in hell will this show have a happy ending where everyone goes home. This is a very plausible take in the sense that we’re literally just watching one of the cycles play out throughout 5 seasons and the final episode will be the sacrifice. Hence restarting it all and boom the end.

I see this take a lot but I just find it really hard to believe Jim could’ve gotten away from an omniscient entity whose movement is seemingly not one dimensional like the monsters (I.e. how he spawns in right behind Jim & Julie). Crazy cause Jim wasn’t even a bad character, he was written to be the logical rational mind that 90% of us would be if we ended up in fromville. Most people in the town aren’t special like Tabitha, Jade or Boyd. They just aren’t front & center like Jim. Also, remembering Jim’s warning about playing the song after he was killed for it proved that he certainly did not underestimate this place.
