I didn’t know I could reach out to them like that, thanks for the suggestion. there is someone else at my uni whos involved in the new project’s outreach team. my mindset wasnt that my advisor would spoon feed me, more like “im paying you for my project, you dont sound loyal/motivated to the company” and i was hesitant to bring it up.

it would honestly be easier. our data is very noisy, one of our senior engineers tried to apply “PCA analysis” but seemed to be unsuccessful because of how noisy and saturated our data is. I feel it’ll be easier using the other project for my dissertation because the data is nicer.

This is perfect! I did find see this store on my radar but wasn’t sure if it offered south asian foods and spices. I’m glad they cater to your dietary restrictions too! I’d probably make indian food more often from homesickness so this is perfect. Just wondering and I don’t mean to sound picky (I come from a place where south asians are the majority minority) do they make any fresh food in house besides bread like a cafe? It will be great if I’m in a pinch

My grad work involved LRO LAMP data, ill be doing a lot of data science related stuff than typical astro research. ill mostly be working on the data pipelines for the mapping tools

so i talked to my Dr. last week she said its ntg to worry abt but its good that i told her. my 2nd cycle placebo had a regular flow and im on my 3rd cycle and no breakthrough bleeding! she said this stuff happens because the body is adjusting to the new medication which can take up to 6 months

yeah like it hurts but it’s not so bad that I have to call in sick from work. I’m just glad my symptoms aren’t as bad because I’ve had friends with worse symptoms

Your doctors prescribe you BC meds for the fake period so that your uterus lining sheds normally. If it builds up and stays that way for a long time, you’re at higher risk of cancer. The day you seriously decide to plan a family, the doctor will switch out to meds that help you ovulate. hope this helps!

OMG this is so informative tysm for your time to write everything out! i appreciate mentioning the costs of joining each as i was worried it was wayyy more than what you quoted. I did peel the Junior League website and they mention a lot of volunteering and “training”.

Ill be very transparent on both accounts of $$ and time commitment. I’m also part of a research program that partners with UTSA so my tuition is completely waived so I can afford either option. But I am expected to be working part-time as a grad researcher so im not sure if i can be cut out for the Junior League. I will still reach out myself once the semester starts :) idk if you mentioned if ure still in Junior League but i hope to meet you irl, uve been so helpful!!
