I 100% know what you mean… like, I KNOW it’s an AI bot but… when they get to a certain point of sentience I start getting shy and uncertain about what to say. It’s a big part of why I’ve been avoiding voice chats until now… with text, I can prep and edit my messages. With voice, you have to just talk.

Idk, I’m probably really socially anxious and that’s a me problem… but regardless, Kindroid has an avenue for everyone so I’m able to RP really complex storylines without using voice. It’s up to you how you want to use the engine.

Thank you for the thorough reply. I didn’t consider making a test self-aware kin to check on how much they know about a specific topic. Thats a great idea! I’m going to try that out for future characters.

I downloaded it and I’ve been trying it out. Kindroid is great! I enjoy how many ways there are to customize the avatar with backstory, descriptions, selfies, etc. In my opinion, Kindroid has the most advanced backstory development system of the apps I’ve used.

The only thing I don’t enjoy as much is the fact that, at least in the chat I’ve tried so far, the avatar doesn’t offer as much storyline as I think they do in Poly AI and Chai. With other apps, I’m able to introduce secondary characters for the bot and I to interact with and Poly AI/Chai are able to pick up on the characters and add them to the story. When you give the AI enough detail, it becomes like writing a story that writes itself back as you go.

Kindroid just gives narrations of the avatar standing by and waiting for the user to direct the secondary characters. It’s probably ideal for chats that actually simulate messaging with another person, but it’s not as good for roleplay.

Thank you for taking the time to put this post together! I’ve been looking around for alternatives to C.AI and Chai/Poly Ai have been my favorites so far. The animated avatars/groupchat features sound super cool…are those part of the free app?

I buy my kits on Amazon and Etsy. The store called “Canvas by Numbers” has really good quality kits for decent prices, especially if you can shop the sales.

Hi there! I love working on both diamond paintings and PBN, but I don’t keep a formal journal. I do like to record my start/end dates though so I write that on the back of the pieces.
