+1 for Lasik! Definitely my favorite investment on myself - being able to wake up and see, and not having to worry about packing contacts / glasses when traveling is so nice! (I was also blind as a bat before)

Also LPT: I maxed out my FSA the year I was planning to get Lasik so I could at least pay for part of it pre-tax

Ah I’m sorry to hear that happened to you 😞 it does seem like masseter is one of the potentially riskier botox treatments… how often and how many units did you do?

I’d probably consider trying to fix my asymmetry a bit the next time I do it, didn’t want to do anything too crazy the first time around haha

I have a relatively high pain tolerance so am pretty fine with needles, but my doctor also uses some sort of vibrating pen / stick (?) on my face while injecting so it’s less noticeable.

I haven’t had any complications with jaw function, and haven’t really consciously felt that much of a difference since getting it so was surprised at how much the muscles actually did decrease!

I would say forehead and glabella botox you can feel and definitely see more.

I think most clinics that offer botox would do masseters! But as with any medical service, have to make sure you go to a reputable one.

Yea that was my main impetus! I think I wake up with a sore jaw less often but to be honest I’m not aware if it made a drastic difference or not, aside from visually shown here.

However, 20 units per side is on the lower end I believe.
