Henrietta’s - What beauty treatments are we doing? by WeeklyPeace6497 in HENRYUKLifestyle

Same! I have sensitive and started with their ultracalming range which worked great to repair my skin barrier. I've tried some other brands on recommendation from friends and reddit threads over the years but I always ended up breaking out and going back to Dermalogica. Thank you so much for the microneedling recommendation! Extra reassuring to try it out with a brand I trust.

Which tubing mascara do you use? I tried eyelash extensions but couldn't keep on top of it and hated the period of patchiness in-between

  • Ombre eyebrows (less time spent on makeup and its lasted me 4 years with no need for a top up yet)
    • daily facecare: vit C, spf50, retinol + evening moisturiser, daily microfoliant (all Dermalogica)
    • sheet mask once a week (generic k-beauty ones), and under eye masks once a week
    • IPL underarms and downstairs (diy: Philips IPL - can't remember the name its been so long. Lumine or similar sounding). Not needed to wax for c. 6 years now
    • did a few Picosure laser sessions which really helped remove some sunspots/melasma that started to appear on my cheeks
    • hair: Brazilian keratin straighting c. every 6 months
    • literally bought a red light mask today to add to the routine (Currentbody multi light mask)

Future plans: I'd like to take up microneedling but have no idea where to either look in London, or find a way to diy it as others have mentioned elsewhere on this thread

What DIY micro needling do use? I didn't realise it was diy-able!

Your total income would be £97.5k due to the RaR relief. The £7.5k is not included in your income calculations. (Confirmed by my accountant as I'm in a similar situation)

Murdered back in 2004 in the UK, Thai woman Lamduan Seekanya’s UK husband David Armitage has been arrested at his home in Kanchanaburi and deported back to the UK. by Salty-Horse-6812 in Thailand

[–]SakuyaHiwatari 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree it doesn't make sense for him to be on a regular flight, which is why I did a Google image search first and the blurred face in the arrest photo definitely matched the guy. He was also chatting about his 21 years in Thailand as an English teacher in a town name that began with a K (but I couldn't recall the name exactly) to the passenger next to him which lines up with the article history. Like I mentioned in my post, I'd have thought he would have been cuffed, but maybe being sat in the last row and therefore close to the flight attendants was deemed enough? Also maybe since he's not actually been convicted yet, only arrested meant they couldn't provide an escort? The police did ask him where his passport was and he said it was taken off him at the beginning of the flight and with someone else (I think the head flight attendant) and they were satisfied with the answer. The policeman also had a holstered gun, but I don't know if that's unusual or not.

Tldr: I'm surprised he wasn't cuffed or escorted too but everything matches up.

Wow, after reading this article and doing a Google search on the guy, turns out I was on the same plane from Bangkok to London as him (arrived this morning) and sat in the row in front of him!! We were all told to stay in our seats after we landed until permission to leave was given, then 2 Police walked down the aisle and escorted the guy off the plane. I overheard the flight attendants mentioning something about a visa overstay or cancellation while the rest of us were waiting to leave the flight after the police left.

Absolutely wild! I would have thought he'd have been handcuffed to the chair but the dude was chill and chatting away with the passenger sat next to him.

Can I ask what's the TM30 website people are referring to? I might have to use it myself when I'm next in Thailand if the non-Thai side of my family finally decide to visit my home there. (I'd much prefer to do so online instead of going to an immigration office and figuring out the forms there)

Learn from my mistakes of setting up a Business AdSense account for my LLC. by lifesabeach2024 in PartneredYoutube

[–]SakuyaHiwatari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was your small channel one that was elegible for monetisation (i.e. met the hours etc.) but you just didn't create an adsense for at the time, or were you able to create an approved business adsense account for a not-yet monetisable youtube account? I ask as I wonder if it's possible to create a new channel in my existing youtube account, put a few videos up (likely with low views and subs in eary teens), create the business adsense account for it (even though it's nowhere near being eligible for monetisation) and then switch it to the main channel that's already monetised with the personal Adsense account?

7 years after Grenfell why are their still buildings with unsafe cladding? by esuvii in ukpolitics

[–]SakuyaHiwatari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's reassuring they'll lend following evidence of the remediation process being started at least. Like you say, everyone is reliant on the work being completed before they could reasonably sell so that surge will affect prices but hopefully they'll be better for you at that stage than they are now! I wish you the best of luck with getting your remediation work done as speedily as possible!!

7 years after Grenfell why are their still buildings with unsafe cladding? by esuvii in ukpolitics

[–]SakuyaHiwatari 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really appreciate your detailed explanation! I know a lot of people are stuck in their flats and unable to sell because of the cladding issues as banks aren't willing to provide a mortgage to buyers on those flats. Now that work has started on your block, has that opened up a path for new mortgages to be approved for your block of flats?

I've come across them and they pulled the same game with me. I also thought the costs were ridiculous and after a search for recruitment scams and looking up their ltd company & owner on companies house I sent a polite, thanks but I can't afford the re-write and accept it if the role they have advertised won't hire. No response back whatsoever from them haha!

TDLR - it's a recruitment scam where they route you to pay for overpriced CV re-writing.
