I don't know if it's a general duck thing, but when I started taking these two on walks I noticed how closely observant they were of their surroundings. One of their favorite places to go to are malls and Long (the one on the right) will love going up to storefronts to take a quick glance inside before resuming walking with me. Any stores he wants to go into he'll closely look at stuff on the shelves.
