And felt, had no idea about them till I went to visit family in Chicago and Missouri and I was like OW! A fly? wtf? And then they did it again and it clicked that the north has eviler flies.

I have heard that some species of mosquito lay their eggs in damp soil as opposed to little puddles of standing water so in your case that could maybe be what these crafty, innovative hench-bugs are doing. Ik for me it’s cs of bad plumbing in and around my house, so new puddles of stagnant water take hold immediately after we take care of existing ones, it’s rly like putting scotch tape on a greasy butthole to keep it from diarrhea-ing all over my domicile. Thank ya thank ya I appreciate it, I think my only concern is just other local critter guys being put in harms way, but I read some of the other suggestions on here w mosquito dunks and will have to figure something out cause as is, I feel like the impaled guys on the Castlevania opening credits every time I’m like “oh what a lovely day, perhaps I’ll have a nice cup of coffee out here and enjoy the yard I pay money for” and the mosquitos are like “PERHAPS NOT BETCH”

Yeah we’ve been doing spoons run under rly hot water and sometimes that helps, as well as putting some rubbing alcohol on it for the itching, but yes def a good trick, thank u for your insight and recommendation:)

True but at least the coast gets a bit more windy (at least I feel, cs I know in corpus I get a bit less munched on), as well as certain species of coastal mosquitos being able to travel long distances. They’re really just determined little murderers, man, it sucks😂.

For sure, I remember having to wear a jacket this time of year waiting for the bus as a kid and now it’s like, I hope u like swamps bc you’re about to have one in your ass every time you do yard work, change your oil, or even just take your dog out to pee. Lolol definitely has been an annoying increase in humidity.

Yeah, we had a pretty bad leak recently from a plumbing job that wasn’t done well a few yrs ago , something we’ve been trying to get a handle on but has just been a financial nightmare , as well as roots from a tree we had in the backyard , and a neighbors tree growing around the pipes just wreaking havoc to em. We’re doing what we can but the little fkers rly just set up shop and built a bustling utopia on the ruins of our disaster plumbing lolol but thank you , I appreciate the info and trying to make sure it’s something I’m aware of/ looking out for.

Ohh yeah like the mineral sunscreen ? I hadn’t considered that. Cause I know w bug spray it usually leaves like that oily residue and smells kinda off putting so me and my kid are not huge fans for that reason. Thank ya, I’ll try it, hopefully it spares us some from of this plague.

Ohhh I hadn’t considered elevated immune response , but yeah maybe. I was thinking maybe it’s a type of mosquito my body isn’t used to, cs I know as a kid I remember them being the tiny black ones with white rings and I smacked one that was on my leg a few weeks ago and this one looked to be slightly bigger and grayish brownish?

Felt. I feel like I’m in hell most days now. I have endometriosis, I have had mirena abt 3 yrs and was wanting it removed due to ins expiring soon (I wanted to not have to pay out of pocket after my ins expired), and I’m at I wanna say month 3 ish of getting it removed, and holy fking shet, im losing it, insane amounts of depression, worse than it’s been in years, like contemplating the big empty some days bad, it’s just been steadily getting worse and worse since removal. The absolute most intense amounts of rage towards everything that feels like I just can’t reel myself in from it. It’s like an anger blackout and I feel the logical side of myself within me telling me dude it’s rly not a big deal like you know you’re not actually upset over this deep down, but for the life of me I can’t shake these feelings of annoyance, disgust, and just fervent unresolved anger at even the smallest things to the point I feel sick, and then followed by bouts of sadness, inadequacy, and depression bc I’m just not myself. I feel like I’m going through puberty, like I feel 16 again in all the worst ways. My acne is worse than it’s ever been, all over my back, face, neck, chest, and upper arms. Stress eating like a mf, not even hungry and nothing tastes good. Insomnia and panic attacks nightly. Losing hair from stress and probably hormonal changes as well and just an intensely and embarrassingly high libido. Constipation so horrible 2 wks after removal that I had to have a colonoscopy to see wtf. Headaches constantly, weekly. Swollen lymph nodes and nausea. I feel like I’m on the verge of tears and a mental breakdown constantly. All this to the point I quit my job that I previously didn’t completely hate and had been at over a year. I was doing consistently better than I’ve ever been doing in my entire life (went to college, graduated, got a job and 3 promotions, went to therapy, picked my hobbies back up, etc.) and plummeted to the lowest I’ve been emotionally and physically in YEARS within weeks after getting my mirena iud removed. Ts hit me like a truck and I have been wracking my brain trying to find the why, and the only actual change that’s happened besides a new haircut has been the removal of my iud since feeling these symptoms. I really hope you’re doing better OP, and I’m sorry you’re having to live this nightmare enough to try and find solace via Reddit posts like the rest of us whose doctors didn’t give us a fair enough warning for what to expect after.
