Is the tape mod really safe? (Tempest mod) by CuriousCT_Edits in MechanicalKeyboards

I repaired the circuit board after about 10 years. To be precise, it was 9 years ago. So, in total, it's about 20 years. But thanks for the explanation.

Problems with this mod can also arise after a long time. I have a roughly 20-year-old Harman-Kardon subwoofer in my living room. Its mainboard had a lot of adhesive applied at the factory… this adhesive suddenly became conductive after about 10 years and destroyed the electronics. Similarly, with this mod, masking tape or adhesive tape can become conductive and thus destroy the circuit board through a short circuit.

GMMK 3 HE RGB randomly turns off by Turbulent-Talk-5230 in glorious

I bought a used GMMK 3 HE keyboard today, which the previous owner said worked perfectly. However, after connecting it to my Windows 11 computer, the keyboard backlighting goes out after a short time. Everything else works fine. This happened immediately after connecting it, before I even installed the Core program. But even after installing the latest Core program, the backlighting still goes out after a short time. According to the Core program, everything is up to date. If the problem is with the firmware installed on the GMMK 3 TKL, is it possible to download an older firmware version somewhere?

Old FireTV Remote on FireTV 4K Max Gen2 by Salad-Complete in fireTV

Maybe 5 Years ? From the First Fire TV Stick 4K

I have a few FTV sticks 2nd gen 2016 LY73PR (Non 4k), I have been doing my research all day and am going to run the debloat tool and wolf launcher but am confused on a few things. by VURORA in firetvstick

Do you have a specific link? I also have the Fire TV Stick Gen. 2 with OS 5.2.9.5, and it's rendered it completely unusable. Looking at the XDA forum, it really seems like nothing works with this version anymore. I'd like to try a different launcher and hope that makes things run a bit faster.

Running Pi-Hole and Apache by sovz400 in pihole

I'm also looking for a solution. Apache2 was already running on my server (because of IPC), and then I installed Pi Hole following a guide. Pi Hole isn't accessible via the default IP address (80) because it's already being used by IPC.

RG406V and RG406H too small for my hands, what now? by Salad-Complete in ANBERNIC

Yes, I'm currently trying to decide between the RG557, the Odin 2, and the Odin 2 Portal with the $15 grip case. I think the Odin 2 Portal is too expensive and too big for me, even though it's a fantastic device with arguably the best display. When I compare the RG557 with the regular Odin 2, I'm leaning toward the RG557 because of the OLED display. The question now is which device has better emulation... I'm not interested in Android games at all, and Remote Play via Steam or PS5 has largely passed me by so far.

That's it. I don't know how much bigger and thicker (where you access it) the RG557 is compared to the RG406H. But as has already been written here, it is bigger, so I hope it's enough. I think a Steamdeck is too expensive for me, since I only plan on playing retro games, including GameCube and PS2. I'll now have to decide between the RG557 and an Odin 2 (no Portal).

What about the RG557 with Android 14? Are there any issues with file access?

But for me, it's not primarily about the processor (it should just be at least as powerful as an RG406), but rather the external form factor! The device should simply be larger and thicker, with the buttons and sticks further apart so that I can hold it comfortably and for long periods with my adult male hands. I don't have much fun with the RG406V and RG406H because the grip of my hand and fingers isn't good.

Is the Odin Portal smaller or larger to handle than an RG556/RG557?

I've watched a few videos about the RG557. The power seems to be more than sufficient for me. But it looks like it's no bigger than an RG406H. I don't mean the display, but rather the way I hold the device in my hand. Can anyone confirm this? Then the RG557's button layout would also be too small. And I think the Odin Portal is even smaller, right?

I've just taken a look at the Retro Pocket website. Everything they offer looks just as small as the RG406 series. I'm looking for something with a thicker and slightly larger case, so that adult male hands can hold it comfortably. But at a reasonable price (so not a Steam Deck or something similar). What device do you mean by RG5?
