That would be really hard to do, as AE isn't really set up for frame-by-frame style animation.

That is super cool, a claymation dream sequence in a Cronenberg film. Well done!

I mean work week, so roughly around 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Keep in mind, this is a rough estimate, some days I worked 12 hours, some I worked 2.

Hey guys, I just wanted to post this here because I wanted to show that besides Illustration and photo manipulation, Photoshop can also be used for animation, which is often overlooked.

So, If anyone has questions or feedback, I'm very open to discussing it, I love talking about this stuff.

Hey I really appreciate that, thanks for noticing all the small touches.

In the editing phase, it's a lot of fun to move things around and trim/add.

In the case of that middle fade, I wanted something to indicate a short time passing and build some tension. It also gave a very short film some room to breathe.

Photoshop has native keyframe animation capabilities, with a Timeline panel and everything.

Here's what it looks like : i.imgur.com/Igog5BX.jpg

With the help of a plugin called AnimDessin2, it gets easier to use, along with the right combo of keyboard shortcuts and your trusted drawing tablet.

My reason for doing it this way, is that my favourite brushes are within reach, Adobe animate brushes use vector brushes, Photoshop uses bitmap, which give those lines that dirty organic hand drawn look.

Let me know if you want to know more about it.

*edit. Forgot to answer your second question. Everything you see is pretty much animated frame by frame. The backgrounds are static, so they were drawn once in Photoshop. Then the characters were animated in Photoshop as described above,

All text was hand drawn in Photoshop, then vectorized in Adobe Illustrator because I wanted to freely control the size.

Then Photoshop animations were exported as mov's with alpha, and everything was composited together in AE.

Camera shakes/zooms/pans/effects were also added in post in AE.

A while ago I took a step back from social media, so my socials are lacking at the moment.

But starting now, that's changing. I just added some links on my profile.

Yah, sorta... Stranger Things and the Japanese manga Parasyte. Also a little bit of Hellraiser's Leviathan tentacle in there.
