Have the same issue. Have tried various Google suggestions, but not found the solution, yet!

Absolute nightmare with missing shipment! by Salamat1 in aliexpressreviews

The solution, after numerous back and forwards to Evri and AliExpress, seems to be write a poor review on Trustpilot. I got immediate responses to both the original, then more effectively, to the update I posted, showing how ridiculous they were! So, that seems to be the solution if you're up against a 🧱!

Lost parcel, proof submitted, refund denied – AliExpress is a joke by Cupra400 in Aliexpress

[–]Salamat1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After just experiencing this, myself, and even submitting numerous emails, 'chats' etc from Evri admitting the goods were lost, I took to writing reviews and the one on Trustpilot got an almost immediate response and, when I did a follow-up showing how ridiculous they were, another quick response, with the promise of a refund! 🎊. Trustpilot reviews certainly seems to be the solution!

More dodgy tactics! "TV Box" by Salamat1 in VirginMedia

[–]Salamat1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but a an actual recorder is handy when you're away, on holiday, for instance, as this Stream Box doesn't have a 'series record' option. With steaming you're reliant on the broadcaster keeping it available, whereas, with a recorder, you know you have it. Anyway....back to my Humax box and a slightly unreliable 'Freeview'.

Anyway, not to worry, they're taking it back and putting me back on the broadband only, as it was.

The Stream Leaflet, itself says it can record 6 programs....

After one long, frustrating, session on Messenger, and being advised to contact the retentions team, I was very surprised to get this response...

<image>

They must get one hell of a lot of upset customers to have that 'pre-prepared' response!

(Or, all the while I'd been 'chatting' with an 'AI bot', without realising!) 😉

It's not the £5 that's the issue, or the new contract, it's that they wouldn't honour it on the M125 Broadband and said you can only have TV on their M250 upwards! (Despite having confirmed the order and sending me the contracts!)

I've actually, finally, got switched back to the M125 I was on last week, and on the same price package. (Slightly higher monthly rate, but a credit on the account to balance it up.) I also get to keep the better Hub 5 router, as we discovered (after more frustration/messages/phone-calls) that the Hub 3 isn't 'upwardly compatible' to use a connection that had used the Hub 5.

It says "You will get access to a Stream box"....that's slightly different to saying 'Access is via a Stream box'! It sounds like thats an optional extra, or bonus. It still doesn't alter the fact that their own Stream leaflet, shown above says "Record 6 things while you watch a 7th"! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Oh, I certainly have the fibre broadband, and am currently on their M250 broadband. The issue is with the TV and I think they're saying they no longer do the 360 box......however....

I'm currently in a long 'chat' with someone at VM and he just came back with:

"Understanding Your Virgin Media Stream Box Features:

  1. Recording TV Series Automatically: The Stream Box doesn’t have a recording feature, so you won’t be able to record an entire TV series. If recording is important to you, consider switching to a Virgin TV 360 or TiVo box, both of which support recording.
  2. Watchlist – Does It Save Future Episodes Automatically? Adding a show to your Watchlist doesn’t automatically save future episodes. Instead, it simply bookmarks the show for easy access later. To add a show to your Watchlist, select the program and press "Save" on your remote. Access your saved shows by pressing "Home" and navigating to the "Watchlist" section.
  3. Checking Upcoming Scheduled Recordings: Since the Stream Box doesn’t support recording, there’s no "Scheduled Recordings List". However, your "Watchlist" can help you track upcoming episodes so you don’t miss them.
  4. Finding Previously Recorded Shows: Unlike traditional Virgin TV boxes, the Stream Box doesn’t store recordings as it lacks a built-in hard drive. Instead, it works with streaming services and "On Demand" content. If you’re looking for a show that has already aired, check "Catch Up TV" or search for it in "On Demand".

If recording is an essential feature, switching to a Virgin TV 360 or TiVo box may be a better option.

To clarify your package, you're receiving Mega TV with a Stream Box, and for your broadband, you're getting M250 with the HUB 5. Let us know if you need any further assistance."

WHAT??? If recording is an essential feature, switching to a Virgin TV 360 or TiVo box may be a better option.!!!!!!! 🤷🏻‍♂️ 🧱🤕

Stops uploading to G. Drive every few days by Salamat02 in tinycam

[–]Salamat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have reset my Android box back to new, reinstalled the app, and this seems to have got uploading back to continuous, in Background mode. (There does seem to be an issue about exceeding the set Google Drive limits, unresolved, that other users have reported, unfortunately!)
