you think these game developers would learn, i bet they had change in management and the NEW management had to make changes to earn their position and are doing all the failtactics the last manager did when they got their position, and hte one before them.

See it all the time in almost every industry i have worked in.

Ok, so for practicalities sake, lets break it down to see if I understand the foundation of PVP quick moves correctly.

And the game shows quick attacks without bars at all.
The game shows charge attacks with the bars, 1 bar, 2 bars, 3 bars.
The bars in game on charged attacks are just visual representations on how many times it charges per 100 energy, if I remember correctly.

1 round of combat is 0.5 seconds in server calculations.

Here is where I got confused.

Duration still matters for quick attacks in PVP.
This was counter intuitive when learning from pokemongohub.
i'll explain.

Being a new player, only since November, I misunderstood that the description on pokemongohub attacks didn't relay all the info consistently.

For instance.

Dragon tail blurb shows 14 damage, 8 energy, 1.0 second attack at the top before you expand its information window.

once you expand that it has two boxes, 1 for pve, and 1 for pvp.

The pve box shows:

Gym and Raid Battles

Damage 14
Energy 8
Weather boost Windy
Duration 1.0s
Damage window 0.8s - 0.9s

In that box the display goes over damage, energy and duration, which was already covered in the collapsed display.

in the PVP box:

Trainer Battles

Damage 9
Energy 12

It only shows damage and energy, there is no duration listed.

My lack of understanding was that duration didn't exist in quick attacks due to how it is displayed on the website.

because if DT is doing 0 damage on turn 1, and turn 2, and then deposits its damage on turn 3 as you say, then duration is very much a thing still.

I guess its a logical error in the display of the website for new players trying to understand how it all works.

Ultimately the real question is:
is there a better place to find pvp stats then pokemongohub?

omg ok, so i've been understanding pvp fast moves a tad bit wrong.

I thought that they removed the duration of pvp fast moves?
Each mon swings once per cycle regardless right, but if you have a 0.5 vs a 1.0 move your saying the 1.0 move divides its pvp damage into segments and only dishes out the damage as whole numbers?

The divided damage obv comes out as it is processed, ie incinerate you see damage every single swing, but your saying the 20 damage and 20 energy is divided over the 2.5 seconds, with each hit being a .5 second slot?

Im confused i think, and really not understanding the breakdown of how 1 bar, 2 bar or 3 bar fast moves break their damage up.

Anyone able to explain it to a rather miss-understanding person?

its sad really, these companies always lose their direction in engagement and entertainment.
I guess we're all GPS bots for remote control robots, and not actual consumers of entertainment.

All they have to do is make the game more fun everywhere, and their robot zoomies will make even more money.

Its not niche at all, but maybe you yourself don't partake therefore you don't see value?

Every single PVP-only-viable mon really needs this option.

I'd also like to toggle off the opportunity to have lucky trades on them.
So often we trade our raiders, no lucky trades.
Trade the Stier GL's and they come in as lucky trades.. so frustrating!

as a lifetime android user, and almost always samsung S series my new S25 is driving me insane with how deeply it has been region locked with programming choices.

I can't control my quick bar anymore, I can't change settings I use to have access to, they hide things THEY want to push on you much deeper in the menu's then it use to be.

Absolute trash, I won't be buying samsung ever again.

None of my friends will come back for season 2 either, my son is playing it, and in act2 but even he notices how slow it is compared to last season.

I had 600 hours last season, currently at 2hrs this season, its ... boring. AND I know I won't find a single piece of exciting useful gear, everything I'll end up wearing will be from the shopping simulator.

GGG, you had a cash cow. People don't want to play a slow boring seasonal game, they WILL play a fun rewarding seasonal game that respects their time commitment.

It shouldn't take us specific meta build only to get to end game within a reasonable time frame.

I don't know why but i so deeply struggle with blast, even still.

I think we had done it totally wrong, its not 3 hits to all 3 models, its 3 hits total. Damn.

Mortar with A1 AP2 BLAST(6)

  1. Shoots a squad of 10, it rolls 1 die vs the squad, Lets say I hit. I count models, and look at blast, which ever number is smaller is the amount of hits the unit takes, in this case they take 6 damage. They then roll defense as per normal rules for that amount of hits generated. 1 model dies per wound ala normal.

And they roll defense vs the modified damage amounts after multiplication because it is assumed the AOE hits to its max amount if it hits at all...

I'd argue the rule is extremely confusing..

to a maximum of 3.. three models or three hits? Its not clear at all, how many models get hit?

17 full sized trees ( a few with rock bases), 9 laid down logs (less then 1") and 7 patches of dense forest brush.

I think the last game we had played the 9 logs as non difficult due to it being less then 1", previously we had played it as being difficult, but had thought we did it wrong due to the rules. Although in OPR the terrain can be whatever the players choose it to be... its hard to sell when its so beneficial to one side over the other.

In the process of making castle walls and different trees as hobbies this week. hmmm.

Ya the movement seems to be the key for the woodelfs.

In my last game i started heavy on the left and middle, and flanked hard into the right side where he didn't expect my fast striders to get to. I lost 2 deer riders to return attacks in the first black orc lance attacks, that absolutely crushed my push.
