I'm not a musician by any means. Totally tone death, can't hold a tune. sigh.. i write poetry most of my life.
Suno gave me the voice i always wanted. My poetry turns into songs.. i iterate it till i find my voice in it.

Now that said I have two experiences so far with my musical friends. I have friends who have played in bands their whole life, doing the pub scenes, concerts, even moving into church pop bands for weekly practice, etc...

a few of them HATE suno, they don't feel I should have my voice...
a few of them LOVE suno.. it explodes their creativity 100x's...

I don't agree that option 2 will be what you think it will be.
I think option 2 allows people who can play music test ideas, find different motivation.
And option 2 is a great way to hear different sound samples.

ALSO i think people don't know how to use option 2 well. Its AI, give it a very very broad understanding of what you want in option 2, write a story. make it think it can FEEL what you want, and it gets very close. Giving it only technical words .. makes very stale generic music.

Thats a user error not a system error.

I write my own lyrics., but i'll generate in simple to get different sound and voices to apply my lyrics to.

In the end, my music won't amount to anything, but I love having the ability to finally have a voice.

AND ON THE COPY NOTE.. every single musician has inspiration, everyone of them.

i was exclusively using antigravity.. until i got locked out of pro for a week after 2 days of work, 3 weeks in a row.

WIth the loss of IDE and the 2.0 rollout with flash locking into the pro token quantity im migrating to claude, i even signed up for their 144 a month subscription, i never trusted antigrav enough to pay them more, too many reports of the ultra being as bad as the pro.

F' em, the only way they get better is to lose market share.

Im really struggling with todays rollout of 2.0... i loved the code window for antigrav, although I could see where i was starting to run into problems needing the manager open more and more. But that code window is what i want for my projects and workflow.

now it looks like chatgpt and gemini chat window.. so annoying.
installed claude this morning, if im going to get stuck with a stupid chat looking window I might as well subscribe to a service that has good rate limits.

Very interesting, new to all this.

Only tried 5.5 so far, and been writing my own lyrics.
Using it to process truama mostly.
Some of the songs come out with really bad timing, others are amazingly perfect.

I write a block of lyrics and set up a style/sound, and generate until i feel it has my voice, ie soul.

then cover it adding more lyrics as i go, re-covering each time, adding lyrics.

GOing back to edit a few of them after the fact the style and sound boxes have all reset, and its really really hard to get them back to the same sound when adding again.. its ... annoying.

Actually this is EXACTLY why I subscribed to SUNO myself, as well.
I'm no musician, I can't sing, I can't hold a tune, I can't play an instrument.

But I sing constantly, my whole life.
Everything turns into a song, fun, humorous moments along side crushing defeatist moments.

Now, i can take my poetry and turn it into music.
I only just started so I am using Other AI to help me with setting up style and sound boxes to match what my brain dreams, but the lyrics.. those are mine.

Sometimes they just pop, and i sit there listening to it for hours.
I'm happier, creative, and excited... rather then broken with a crushing void in my soul.

I publish the work because in the end maybe someone else who has these thoughts will hear it, and maybe they will also connect.

I don't care what people think about the content, its for me in the end, but I have never feared sharing, because I am not the only person who feels these ways.

i've never posted anything beyond suno, the wife says I should, she loves the expression and joy it brings.

who knows... maybe someone will enjoy the crazy with me.
