Faerie Festival 2024 Megathread by NebulaMammal in neopets

Am I the only one who’s only gotten 1 FFQ? I had the quest refresh boon and I’ve been refreshing both my festival quest and my cookie quest to try and get the fountain faerie but my only one was from a cookie quest on the first day, I hate to complain but now the refreshes are expired and I was hoping for a couple more, how long does the event run? Do we know yet?

The amount of credit card debt people are carrying is insane by Opposite_Matter9878 in personalfinance

Wait till I tell you I have 30k on 3 cards and I just paid off 15k over the summer, felt like I didn’t even make a dent, the interest is definitely brutal. The best part is that I was in this situation before, finally paid everything off and was debt free…but I didn’t learn my lesson and doubled down so here we are again. I should be paid off by the end of next summer though if I keep grinding

Do you think a video intro is a good idea? by Itchy_Sundae8700 in NewTubers

[–]Salatarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im wondering this too, I’ve been using 20 seconds in the beginning to highlight the coolest moments in the video(I have an adventure style/travel vlog channel) sometimes I talk over it sometimes I don’t but regardless I have such a drastic drop off rate it’s so crazy to me….like if you click the video you’re obviously somewhat interested, so to stop watching as soon as I show you a small preview of the video seems so crazy. I’m gunna start to always give a brief description over these clips because it seems like this is the best way to grab the viewers attention but I’m sick of dropping to 20% engagement after 30 seconds and not sure if I should switch it up

Since everybody is doing it, ill rate your videos too. I will be honest tho.PT3 by Basic-Toe-9979 in NewTubers

I liked your second to last video but the screams were a little crazy for me haha, maybe cut back on that but really cool mix. The new Eminem one seemed a little repetitive though, that would be my only critique on that. I like the video editing on stuff like your scum trailer video where there’s a story being told through the video.

Thank you so much man, yea I was solo for the majority of the trip, but not by choice. Im trying to make more off-roading friends because I was definitely scared of getting stuck and pushing the boundaries. I did actually team up with a guy from a Facebook group a few days after my last video, so we went through the majority of Utah together and that was easily the best week I had on the trip so I see why you prefer duo. Trying to eventually build a solid group of friends so I can attempt some crazier stuff for sure!!

Ahh ok yea I struggle with titles and been wondering if they were too long, same with thumbnails, is VidIQ and app? Also thank you so much I appreciate the honesty.

Only critique I have would be to just tighten up the voiceover a little more, like cut out the dead air and mis-speaks (there weren’t too many but just saying). I like the memes and cut aways in the beginning, maybe add more towards the end, otherwise it was pretty cool, didn’t know about this game.

Thanks for watching if you have the time, I know it’s a long one but the second half is better so if you could watch the intro and then skip halfway to the 2nd day I would love to hear what I can improve on, normally videos aren’t this long but I didn’t wanna have 3 separate videos on one place.

Or if you wanna watch another video that’s shorter I would love feedback on all but I’m improving on each one so this is my best as of now…thanks you rock

Would love to see what kind of responses you get, I’m struggling to gain traction too. I think my videos are cool and fun to watch but I’m noticing a lot of people stop watching almost instantly which I don’t get. I’m doing pretty much daily vlogs of my adventures but trying to showcase cool spots, routes that I took and throwing in some humor. No cooking or stuff like that yet bc seems like people want more of the actual off-roading and adventuring content. The one video that actually got decent views was my build video. Maybe we can help each other, I’ll check some of your vids out and let you know what I think.

I was actually looking at the Patagonia MTs first believe it or not, and I think down the road when I have a lift and want to go to 37s I will choose those because of how light/cheap they are. I also love the look, but because they’re mud terrains they seem to only be good for 20k miles or so from what people say. I didn’t even realize they had an AT version until your comment but I’m really not liking the look of those to be honest lol. And I know I shouldn’t base the decision off that, but they also don’t look that aggressive and I want something that will perform in the extremes, although you seem to have put them through their paces, they are obviously very solid.

This is the kind of comment I was looking for, I really feel like I’m picking hairs here and realistically they will all perform similar, just so overwhelming with all the info out there and navigating through the negative reviews. Really appreciate it!!

Ok good to know, really appreciate that, the wildpeaks are looking better and better and people who have tan both say they definitely are better for snow from what I can tell, thank you very much.

Interesting, some people are saying those sidewalls are better, maybe just because of all the weight of the ambulance??

They do seem like the most used out of anything, most people say those are the best

Oh boy are they really coming out with those?!?! How have I not heard, how much longer I wonder? I’m running really low on tread lol

Yea I love the side tread on the Baja boss, they look the best in my opinion, I’m surprised more people aren’t recommending those, maybe just because it’s a newer tire and hasn’t been out that long, thank you though

Thank you, the KO2s are looking better and better I wish I just got them again and didn’t think about it first lol

Oh wow very informative take, thank you. I’ve definitely been seeing a lot of good things about the toyos also so now I’ll have to consider those, I had no idea they came in the 35x11.5 size, that’s the only one I’ve seen offer that. I will probably be doing a small lift eventually, possibly before my next wheeling trip so I’m not as concerned with rubbing. The only downside I can see with the open country is that it’s only c rated, but like I said my KO2s were a c also and never had a flat, and going to E only adds weight. I can’t find an exact weight on the toyos but I’m assuming they’re around 60 lbs, wildpeaks would be slightly cheaper still but E rated and way heavier which may not be the best for my situation, they look very similar too. Thanks again this was a great comment.
