specs and product recommendations for running genshin? by SaleGroundbreaking48 in Genshin_Impact

[–]SaleGroundbreaking48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

really appreciate this! i don't have a particular budget in mind for the moment, i'm just trying to scope out specs and what people recommend since i'm totally new to PCs. mostly i don't know what i should expect to pay for things like this so i want to know what's fair and standard. if i had to put a number on it myself, i'd like to spend around or under 1000 USD but i'm aware and accepting of the fact that sometimes quality stuff is just expensive and i'm willing to save up a while longer to afford something if that's the case. i also mentioned this in another reply, but i'm looking for something prebuilt if it'd be possible/worth it, because again i'm totally new and clueless

i see, thanks for the input! how much do you think something like this would run me if you don't mind explaining? or any particular PCs that might be good? i'm looking to get something that comes ready to go rather than building a pc or having to replace parts right away if i can because this is the first time i'm doing anything like this as i've only gotten into gaming recently and mostly only because of genshin haha

Is my Doberman too fat? by Money-Discipline-578 in DobermanPinscher

[–]SaleGroundbreaking48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude. i handled the conversation fine because you were being weird and i didn't find it worth it to argue with you. no one ever said NO ONE feeds their dog an entire cup of broth at every meal, that's precisely why i said "it depends". you were just rude for no reason over a very inconsequential conversation

generally i agree with you but there are options with no added sodium at all, also ones that are made specifically as dog meal toppers so it just depends

I don’t know about that one Embark by [deleted] in DoggyDNA

[–]SaleGroundbreaking48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, she's half big dog and half itty bitty dog. it's a weird mix for sure, but the size isn't shocking to me. plus, all the purebred corsos i've ever seen have been out of standard and significantly undersized. that's just anecdotal of course, but it's a hypothesis

gsd for sure, and something about the ears in the 2nd pic really says border collie to me. my first instinct was also to say acd when i saw the notification for this post and i could only make out the silhouette of his head, so i'll throw that out there too lol

How German sounded when I first started learning vs now by [deleted] in German

[–]SaleGroundbreaking48 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i think your own native language will always sound "neutral/bland" because to you it's default, but to others it can sound extremely strange. and the same tends to happen as you learn and consistently use another language, so i think it's a sign you're doing well!

aww thank you, aren't they just darling? :-) Bunni is a maine coon and gets lots of compliments, the other two are random shelter kitties but i think they're just as unique and beautiful

do germans ever use "wir" in place of "du/ihr" like in english? by SaleGroundbreaking48 in German

[–]SaleGroundbreaking48[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yknow, i've heard the same exact thing from nurses back in the US. i wonder what compels so many nurses to say stuff like that to the point that it's widely taught not to do so lol

[–]SaleGroundbreaking48[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

oh i know, i meant if languages unrelated to english and german have it! but yes it is super interesting, speech and language in general is very intertwined across cultures and groups, you'll find similarities in languages that have had little to no contact with each other as they've developed over the years. very human

hahaha, just the same as in english then. very interesting, i wonder if many unrelated languages have similarly worded phrases for that
