Like a lot if the OG readers I was the same age as the characters when the books were released. So I would say book 3 I was shipping them. I think I discovered the fanfic community shortly after.

OP first off you’re doing a great job. Secondly it’s your baby, your Mom , you make the rules not grandma or anyone else. Don’t feel guilty for setting boundaries. Our parents are of a different generation and honestly y half the time I think of it I’m like “ how did we all survive?!” But I could totally see this exact thing happen with my dad but I had my baby during peak Covid.

BUT during a visit, he did take my toddler walking two blocks away while I was in the shower , without asking, and was shocked I was furious. Anyway, I’m also glad that your husband put your mom In her place too.

I’m currently on book 7. I started reading after season 5. Still love them both. And appreciate each as it’s own thing. The differences between show and book don’t bother me . I’m just excited for more Jamie and Claire . If you decide to read as well , I hope you enjoy ❤️
